Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Los Angeles Rams

Shop 49ers game tickets
I think that most reasonable people saw yesterday where the problem truly lies. It's not the QB nor the weapons that are the problem, it's the play calling. How many times did we say, with 49ers down by two scores, oh that was GREAT call Kyle, keep being conservative, keep throwing or running those same stupid short plays that the other team has figured out, with no urgency. Right? Then we see the QB be clutch by going beyond what is normally allowed for him to do.

Jimmy used to do this stuff ALL the time before Kyle neutered him. Remember when Kittle had 220 yards in the 1st half, then ZERO in the 2nd? Why? Remember when Kyle threw away Moster & Jeff Wilson, two of his best 49er RBs, like they we were worn-out underwear? Why? Because Kyle is a gutless, petty narcissist that only trusts himself, thinks he is the only reason they win, and the rest are his peons that don't deserve trust or credit. He is THE problem! When the chips are down, he retreats into his "genius" ego and refuses to accept HE is failing. It's always someone else's fault. Can Kyle change? Idk.

Did Jimmy convert? Jimmy rarely converts a third down on his own. Most of the time it is a short pass that, because our physical WRs and great blocking down field , gets the 1st. Half the time its high or behind the WR.

yeah Jimmy had nothing to do with those conversions. didnt you see Jennings throw all those balls to himself last night? fans who think Jimmy has anything to do with this stat are f**king morons. amirite TD????

I can flip that just as easy.

he said he'd flip it. flip it for real!

Jimmy had everything to do with those conversions. He called the play, blocked, broke tackles, caught the ball, oh ya and he threw it 2 yards, it was high but Jimmy leaped up with one hand and caught it too, he is yac machine so he turned 2 yards into 15. .... and then he fill everyones gatorade when he got to the bench with everyones favorite gatorade flavor. . Jimmy deserves all the credit, the rest of team, they are along for the Jimmy ride.

So that is what feels like to be delusional.

nobody on this forum is claiming Jimmy's 3rd down conversion stat is him by himself. your reply to that tweet is what delusions are made of tho.

Then you are clearly are not paying attention since that has been my point since this morning. This not a Jimmy stat, it is a team stat. Whos delusional again?

Wow! This post is about as dumb as TD's posts about Jimmy today.

I also saw no 3rd and 8 that was thrown only 2 yards or included one-handed catches. Weird. Almost like these statements are being pulled out of the south end of a northbound horse.

Shocking, considering those who supply data are apparently the, "biased" ones. Shocked, I am...SHOCKED!
In case anyone is wondering, of the 5, 3rd and 8+ they included:
Basic route to Kittle(thrown past the sticks)
Out route to Jennings(past the sticks)
Choice route to jennings(in front of the sticks)
DIG route to Aiyuk(past the sticks)
Stop route to Aiyuk(past the sticks)

How do I know this? Oh, I spent 3 hours with the film today.

The cult is fired up. It took you 3 hrs. You can do better.

"No time for that". Ok, soooo, you will disparage people who do put in the time while refusing to do so yourself. You've now proven yourself as not capable of elevating conversation. Until data is provided, you're just rambling on.

I guess my trust in you was ill placed. Thought you'd be more than just a notch on my bedpost.

It's the efficiency and little things that he can do that makes me like him. Its stuff that I enjoy watching from a QB from the mental side of the game.

For example, and you'll see this on film. Our 2nd TD drove to take the lead: Brendel got called for a hold and then their LB #9 flew upfield on the next play forcing a tunnel screens incomplete. So it's 2 and 20. We ran a 2 man choice concept to one side with Aiyuk and CMC. Darwin James was up on the end of the line and they'd been blitzing him so Jimmy wanted to work that side(the choice side) as they'd have 2, 1v1's with our best route runners.

At the snap, Jimmy checks to Derwin who drops in coverage, so now LA has a 3 on 2 situation so Jimmy moves off to the other side where we had a lion+dragon called. The curl/flat took the flat route and the underneath zones took Kittle on the first slant, Jimmy pumped to Kittle to hold the LB and hit Jennings in the void of the zone who was able to pick up a few yards after the catch thanks to the pump to Kittle.

It set up 3rd and 8.

He did it all in 2.5 seconds.

The next play was the big 3rd down conversion Jennings had when he powered for a first down. It doesn't happen without the 2nd down play before it.

4 or 5 plays later we hit Aiyuk vs the zero blitz to set up at the 2 and CMC scores.

That kind of stuff, is what I love to see. It's not a flashy bomb down the side-line and is so underappreciated.

Quoting because I don't want it to disappear quite yet...

But Jimmy didn't throw the TD on that drive so he did nothing to "earn the A on the group project."
