I think the nuts & bolts of this is dressing up a Sail concept. I wouldn't be surprised if both the post & wheel were alerts. That wheel acts like the widen go shown here. Adding in a post adds some more to it. I'm betting though the Primary was Kittle & the flat was secondary. pic.twitter.com/vF7VndBw7G

🚨IMO, this is why Jimmy Garoppolo will still be replaced. He either refuses or can't make the big throws down the field. The film is the film. Even in a great performance, these types of reps/turn downs speak volumes.🚨#FTTB

A bit harsh, but I never played QB in the NFL, so I'll defer to the experts.
Did you watch the whole video where he praised Jimmy the entire time? Or just found the one nugget to take a shot at Jimmy?
"One of his biggest fans" 🤡
I know it's not a reply to me, but it makes it easier to tie in to the topic. In the spirit of being fair - Jimmy missed a big explosive to Tyler Kroft a few plays later, right before we kick the FG. It was man-cov and we had Kroft open on a wheel route. Jimmy forced it on a double slant to Deebo.

Because it's much harder to get those explosives when it requires everyone blocking properly and getting YAC. When it doesn't work people complain about play calling instead of executing the play. Also we're in the QB thread so yeah we're talking about throwing the ball downfield.

Which is fine. Every QB misses reads and throws. The goal is to make more plays than you miss consistently, and that's what separates the good/great QBs from the rest.
There's been plenty of time in the past and early on in the year where Jimmy didn't make up for his poor play. But over the past couple of weeks he's been good to great, especially against AZ.
If we can get Jimmy to play consistently at this level all season and into the playoffs, I will feel very confident we can win the SB, and he would get a good amount of credit for it.

If you are talking tunnel screens and such you are correct. But the slants, seams and digs etc... not so much.
