Ok so if I choose to talk about the Top 4 NCAA CFB playoff ranked teams, you are still contending that by choosing those 4, I have taken a sample?

I'm saying those top four teams are a sample of all NCAA CFB teams, yes.

Okay.

Well this is your expertise, not mines.

In science you dont take the top or bottom of anything and call it a sample unless you want to have a bias result FWIW.

Well of course,...lol....but didn't want another 20 pages.

"Of course," yet that's what you tried to do for the last 20 pages.

This is a look @ Jimmy's last 26/37 passing game -- which was vs. Chicago in his 4th game with us in 2017 -- vs. this week's 26/37 game:

Interesting note: Last week's chart with the spectacular performance I believe had only 1 pass over 10 yards.

This week's game had 7 passes over 10 yards and had and this 2017 game had 11 passes over 10 yards.

Views like these may give clues as to why Kyle's not really asking Jimmy to go out there and air it out.

Lol
It seems like more receiver should be able to get open downfield since most teams know the Niners love the short passing routes. Aiyuk, CMC, Deebo and even Kittle are fast enough to get open. Then we have Ray-Ray who I would like to see a little more of.

distributing the ball quickly and evenly amongst all your playmakers that are dangerous when alone in space prove to be super effective. The saints however proved to be a lot tougher and more disciplined too, however

also dirty cheap shot takers as well. some of that blame has to go to the o line though.

Some on JG also. The high level QBs have field awareness and get it out before there is a problem. If you hold it until there is a problem that's on you.

Going downfield more takes more time for play to develop though, can our OL hold up for play to develop

We don't know if they don't try it. They've taken a few shots so apparently the line can do the job if asked.

There have been a handful of times recently where Jimmy has opted for the checkdown even though the bigger play was available.

Our line is very good. One of the common takes I see is our line sucks. Nothing to show this is true! JG doesn't excel downfield it is who he is. We don't have the receivers for that either like say MIA does.

That's been mentioned during broadcasts sometimes. I wonder if Jimmy isn't seeing them when they get open of he just doesn't feel comfortable throwing deep. I think his arm is strong enough to make deep throws. The only problem I've seen is his accuracy on the longer throws and the fact that he has to put more air under the ball to get it that far. That gives the DBs more time to recover.

I am not sure what it is because we have seen Jimmy make those throws this season. Like the one to Dwelley and the one to Ray-Ray being the most recent. I know Kyle doesn't seem to care. But for me, if the bigger play is available you take it every time. There is no guarantee you are going to dink and dunk down the field every drive and score TD's. Especially with how poor our run game has been in the redzone this season.

I agree with taking the big shot. I really like to attack right after a turnover when you can sometimes catch the other team a little disrupted. The short passing game mixed with runs has been successful and it's great when trying to eat the clock. The bad part is the more plays you run, the more likely you are to get flagged for holding or a procedure penalty. Drive killers. The other thing about the big plays is what it does to the teams. The team that makes the big play gets fired up and the other team can get demoralized. I know we aren't going to suddenly see Jimmy firing 30-40 yard bombs all over the field but I would like to see 2 or 3 shots per game.

Oh I agree with you. Our offense works very well, obviously. Some just can't let go of mOrE aIr YaRdS and continue to harp on QBR and cute graphs of passing charts to make passive aggressive insults of Jimmy. There is a reason other fans call us the "Forty Whiners."
