The hit is questionable. Ultimately JG is in control of the ball and can unload whenever he deems necessary to do so. I see it both ways.

he can, for sure. and I also added the offensive line can hold onto their blocks better. it shouldn't have to come down to Jimmy having to rely on unloading the ball in order to avoid a big hit. he has a line to protect him for a reason. but it was the wording of your previous statement on the subject matter that I really took issue with is all

If the OL can hold their blocks longer, why don't they? Are you suggesting they only hold them for a set time and then clock out?

oh no, I'm just saying there's more than just 1 answer.

We can agree to disagree. QB is the point guard ball in his hands. If the OL gets nuked no resistance.. that's on the OL and hopefully JG bails him. I recall a play earlier this year with a totally unblocked Aaron Donald.. who according to the one thread is the GOAT defender lol.. and JG calmly puts the ball away he did great on that one. This play I think the line held as long as they could.. I would encourage JG throw it a beat sooner.. do we know the outcome of this play just curious?

Part of the job description of NFL QB is self preservation.. it is not an easy job! Lot to be considering at all moments.

Interesting take. I saw a stat flashed during the game but was not overall that JG was delivering more wins or a better win/loss record overall. I think it was through their first 5 years or something like that.

I recognize Jimmy is having a better year but the real barometer here is this. Is he a Pro Bowl QB? Montana and Young were perennial Pro Bowlers and also delivered championships to the city. While Jimmy G is having a good season, I'm still not certain of him being a pro bowler. That said I hope he is an integral contributor to a championship this season.

This got me thinking.. Pro Bowl I think of top 3 in conference..

Hurts
who else??

AFC has all the top QBs

Burrow, Lamar, Allen, Russ , Herbert, Mahomes.. pick 3 there

Cousins, Jimmy, Geno Smith (wtf)

I feel weird

Lol… the NFC this year is unbelievably weak. Jimmy is a top 4 QB in the conference no question. Top 3 IMO.

Here is a good example of why raw data is hardly worth the cyberspace it is printed on. I'll just leave it at that...

Right, Running game and defense should have win loss records as well.

The polarized sides of the JG camps are both wrong.

Is he as talented as Joe or Steve. No. Not even close.

Is he a winner and pretty damn good at his best? Absolutely.

You are what your record says you are.

The idea that he's 40-19 just because of his run game and defense is not correct. And if we're going to go that route, let's look at guys like Roger Craig, Ricky Watters, Garrison Hearst. And defense for both QBs was fantastic. that 94 defense was LOADED.

None of those teams were run first, except the 1997 49ers. All the rest were pass first with the run game used to close out. So please don't pretend to be Mr. Reasonable to hide more disinformation.

Where's the disinformation?

I think Jimmy will get a Pro Bowl nod this year. Probably won't be able to play in it though

I think Jimmy is playing great. Is he a better QB than Kyler Murray? Dak Prescott? Cousins (Maybe?) Definitely not better than Jalen Hurts. Dak may be eliminated from pro bowl consideration because of the injury and the time off. Not sure though. Def top 5 in the NFC this year IMO.

What a joke. The only QB in the league that's better than Jimmy is Jimmy a day from now, because he just keeps getting better and better everyday.

Maybe also Mahomes, but it's closer than people think.

Is there any way that you can try to not troll and s**t post so often? I hate blocking people because it messes up the flow of conversations, but 99/100 of your posts are worthless. Thanks.

Damn, dude, I've never seen someone get so angry about someone agreeing with them. Do you not appreciate someone infringing on your shtick? 9/10 of your posts are about whether someone is part of the Jimmy hater club or not and the other 1/10 are slow motion clips measuring throw wobble.

What he said:

Dude give it a rest.

If you don't like me posting things that are positive about Jimmy, then put me on ignore. I'm not going to hate on him just because you like feeling like he's being persecuted. There aren't any QBs in this with league, with the exception of Mahomes, that are consistently playing better than Jimmy right now and that's a fact.

You don't get to gatekeep the fandom and decide who gets to root for each player.

As much as some WZers want to make opinions about JG a binary choice, its not.

He will be back. The organization love him, as does the locker room and he is delivering more than Young and Montana

What does this mean?

JG has won more games as a 49er then both Young and Montana and has a better win/loss ratio.

Joe had 110 wins for the 49ers. Steve had 91. I can't imagine someone being on this board and not being aware of that, so this must be an unfunny trolling attempt.

Goatie is from like New Zealand or Australia. He joined the board and become a niner/football "fan" after we signed that rapist rugby player, Hayne.
