I love the way the Jimmy was rusty excuse is used every time he misses any games becxause of injury but some fans think Lance is a bust despite the fact that he's barely played since 2019. Isn't he allowed to be rusty?

The way I look at it if you are not able to throw for a long period then yes you need to build it up. I have been in the TL thread telling folks who think TL can just walk out for the playoffs and start.. it doesn't work like that imo.. he would be rusty as bleep as he has not been practicing or throwing for months.

You took GAMES and not starts. A QB can come in and throw for three yards in mop up duty. Steve had 45 games with 20 or fewer attempts. Jimmy has had only 12 such games.

Not to mention the ERA, and that matters for this statistical comparison. Compare those numbers to the mean at the time.
