Back in 2023?
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 4, 2022
The #49ers and QB Jimmy Garoppolo are both open to his return next season under the right circumstances, sources say. A scenario that seemed unfathomable a few months ago.

I have a feeling this will end up being a pass-first-centric game.

the problem is when he gets to the low end of the spectrum. He'll look like a pro bowler for 5 straight games, and then go into s**t mode looking like Rex Grossman for a patch of games where you absolutely want to cut him. And unfortunately, those lows come at the most inopportune times, like the Super Bowl or NFCC game.
I think the only way the team brings him back is if he wins the SB. Can't keep having more of the same, and this time Shanalynch has given him the dream time on offense to work with. No excuses to botch this…

Would be so great for all of us to be able to keep debating if Jimmy is getting carried and causing Kittle and Aiyuk to drop balls, or being efficient and helping the team win, for the next 4-5 years. Let's hope!
Receivers drop passes. It happens to the best of them. You should take a look at their reception percentages. They are the best on the team.
Oh I'm not mad at them, you're right it happens. But I'm not crazy enough to blame Jimmy when they do. Some are though, and it makes this thread the goat.

It's gonna be interesting how we go about it this game. I think Kyle wants to limit their offensive possessions as much as possible though. That's a dangerous offense.

Jimmy's going to whomever guarantees him the most money. If he doesn't go anywhere it's because no one really offered.
Don't waste time thinking on it.
From what we all know of Jimmy, being a team first guy, and recent comments about familiarity - what makes you think he'd simply go for the most guaranteed money?
And it's obviously a topic of conversation as the season comes to a close and he continues to play well. Unless of course a WR drops a ball and we all get a chance to see more pics with cool arrows and stuff.

I see a few people mentioning that the Jets will go after him. Did Saleh or the Jets say something about Jimmy G??

Which is funny because with Wilson and Mostert back, McDaniel might try to run more. I have no idea what is going to happen today. LOL
