If the 9ers does make the playoffs that means Purdy is doing quite well and when Jimmy does get healed in 7-8 weeks, Jimmy won't be taking over QB1 anyway so it doesn't really matter other than maybe Jimmy can be healthy enough to be the backup to Purdy but he won't see the field anyway.

So does it really matter if his foot is healed in 7-8 weeks like his camp is dropping the news today to every sports media that would listen and spread the news? Not Really.
It is what it is, it's too late.
I think we will let professional doctors and coaches make these decisions and not zone posters.

"Adam Schefter is very close to Don Yee... I think Jimmy's camp is just trying to do damage contorl that he does not have a Lisfranc... I don't expect to see Jimmy Grappolo anymore" They do not see Jimmy on the field either, damage contorl none news.. As Haberman, a previous scout, explains in the video if Jimmy had a Lisfranc and factor in his other injuries, Jimmy would be at max a 2M player in 2023.

You're jealous of Jimmy's good looks aren't you

Thank you, it's hilarious people would choose Brock over Jimmy in the playoffs. Lol, mind boggling.

Not making any decisions, not my decision to make, I can care less really.
I'm for (and root for) whoever can get the job done the best and win games for the 9ers and right now that would be Purdy and I agree with Haberman, it's a none news damage contorl from Don Yee to Adam Schefter but we will never see Jimmy on the field again so who cares.

At least there are still some journalists in the sports media keeping it real unlike most of them who just hyping up nonsense to get attention.

Friends, I think it's time we face reality:

Jimmy's never leaving this place. He's going to retire as a 49er.
He's that girlfriend that we just keep trying to break up with, and still be friends.

But in the end, we just keep ending up together.

No. Its hilarious people can't be patient with Brock or Trey before anointing Jimmy as our best option. Especially now with Jimmy being hurt.

The fact is that we don't have enough of a sample size on both of the young QBs to determine what they are or what they will be.

It's ironic SD is calling others haters after repeatedly mocking Trey after his season ending injury.

Nah I'll bet we won't see Jimmy playing again this season (agreeing with Haberman even after the Jimmy 7-8 weeks damage contorl news) and next season the 9ers will be moving on with just Trey and Purdy and maybe another young QB on PS.

This and he wants this thread to hit 20k pages.
just gotta hold down the fort till the playoffs and get jimmy back . hopefully he aint too rusty in his return cause we gonna need him to beat the cowboys and eagles
7-8 weeks means we'd still have to fade the wildcard round without him. idk what Purdy will look like by then but if we stay healthy otherwise he might be able to see the field again this season
Even if BC Brock turns out to be really good, and even if he ends up staking his claim for the Franchise QB position, getting Jimmy back would have value even as a backup (and same with Trey). And should Brock struggle, perhaps we still sneak in the dance and have Jimmy to take over when it matters (or Trey, if, again, the same thing occurs). Getting our guys back is win/win/win.

Im actually much more interested in watching Brock at Seattle than a home game against a struggling Tampa team.

That seattle game is going to be loud, and it's going to be a playoff atmosphere. Pete the cheat knows how to call a defense, especially against a rookie, so I'm curious to see how Brock responds.

I'd say it's not ironic, but rather hypocritical. The guy is not a 49er fan. He's a Jimmy fan. And that's fine. That's allowed. You're allowed to be a fan of one player. I just feel like you shouldn't pretend you love this team when you trash players and coaches on the team to elevate the one player you like.

Regarding Jimmy, having him come back would be great for the team, and him leading us to a Super Bowl win would be the best possible end to the season, and potentially his time here.

On a bright note if we win the division we'd likely be playing NY or Wash at home in the Wildcard. Two teams that boast QBs that really have no chance against our defense. The worry really does begin in the Divisional round, and the question will be so we roll with Purdy at that point or go back to Jimmy. I'm excited 😆

Would it though ? It might be a good Jimmy ending, but imagine if Brock, Mr Irrelevant, takes the 49ers all the way to Lombardi trophy # 6, ushering in a new era of 49er greatness with our new franchise QB. Very Brady-esque, setting us up for success for years to come.

I would love a storybook ending for JimmyG this season, but if Purdy plays lights out and shows us he's 'the One', man wouldn't that be something…
