Enough of a reason to stop.

That's not good for Jimmy. Waller is a good TEand a big target. I guess they'll try and find one in the draft.
Jimmy doesn't throw to TEs that often .. might as well get rid of the guy

they will probably pick up shulz

He had a lot of throws to Kittle that gained big yards during his time in SF. The catch and run by Kittle against the saints in 2019 was the reason Gould was in position to kick the game winning FG. Waller was probably their 2nd best receiving option.
Kittle was more of that reason in the 2019 game. Kittle was held back. Mullens unlocked kittle's potential and purdy brought back what kittle can do

I'm here for the MrAtt takes

spin cycle is in overdrive today

The fact that Jimmy got more millions and will be starting for another team has him and a few others triggered for sure. They're digging up the goal posts now to move them.

Maybe some of you guys shouldn't have planted those goal posts to begin with. Jimmy is exactly what his contract says. A middle of the pack "prove it to me" quarterback who will likely have a drafted QB (ala Trey) breathing down his neck.

you guys made it seem he was worth a lot more. Sure doesn't seem like it…

Yeah, it's wired. I recall some saying he wasn't worth a bag of chips, nobody wanted him, etc

didn't last one day in FA

It certainly puts to rest the false notion that his surgery last spring had nothing to do with his not being traded.

The consolation prize is a likely 3rd round comp pick.

I don't know who said that, but what people like me were arguing wasn't about what he was worth in a vacuum, but about what he was worth when the 49ers traded three first round picks for Trey Lance and the knowledge that they were very public about going with Trey to start last season. So it was about leverage.

Regardless, the 24 million or whatever is less than the 27 million he was making with us prior to the restructure.

Exactly. They all hung their hat on "he sucks" and had to beg Lynch for a job last year. Time to move those goal posts so they can "criticize" him some more. Even though they hate him and don't want to see his thread anymore. Lol

That's only a technicality. Somehow I think this topic will challenge Alex Smith for the most pages AFTER he leaves the team.

He still got paid like an average QB though which proves his fans wrong that said he was a very good QB, Even top 10 some claimed. Any QB who is close to being a top 10 QB is getting paid much more than $22 Million per year unless they are on a rookie deal. Daniel Jones who is not even top 10 got like $40 Million. Carr got around $37 Million.

Doubtful. Alex played MANY years after he left the Niners, and those were his best years. That was a very tough time for the Alex haters lol. I can't see Jimmy lasting nearly as long as Alex did. But it would certainly be fun to watch.

He'll be the 17th highest paid QB for a guy who has been quite injury prone throughout his career. Even his haters would agree that those injuries are affecting his value, no?

Besides, the haters said he wasn't worth a bag of chips, only a backup, no one wanted him, etc. So... yeah.

He's probably above average but his injury history knocks his value down. Jones is young and improving.
