He still got paid like an average QB though which proves his fans wrong that said he was a very good QB, Even top 10 some claimed. Any QB who is close to being a top 10 QB is getting paid much more than $22 Million per year unless they are on a rookie deal. Daniel Jones who is not even top 10 got like $40 Million. Carr got around $37 Million.

He's probably above average but his injury history knocks his value down. Jones is young and improving.

This... He's in the 10-15 range but no team his paying him that much just to get hurt. To act like his extensive injury history has no bearing on his value is just like those who wrongfully said for months that nobody wanted him last year.

That's only a technicality. Somehow I think this topic will challenge Alex Smith for the most pages AFTER he leaves the team.

Maybe first couple years but not overall. Jimmy won't last that long.

Probably closer to 15 but yes.

I'd say 12 to 13 but there's still a good amount of talent in that range like Cousins, Carr, Tannehill, Kyler and so on so even putting him in that 15 area is good. I'd put him ahead Tannehill, Kyler, and on par with Cousins with maybe an ever so slight edge to Carr. It's a good group and I see no shame in Jimmy being in that group.

Yeah, it's wired. I recall some saying he wasn't worth a bag of chips, nobody wanted him, etc

didn't last one day in FA

Lmao. If anything this proved his worth. Daniel Jones and Carr got 40 mil and they are above average QBs.

Jimmy got paid like average QB. Sorry that upsets you, but don't try to twist this around. Of course he was gonna get paid and be a starter. Have you seen some of the other starters in this league? Even an avg QB is welcomed when you have to start QBs like Mariota, Heineke, old ass Matt Ryan and so on.

Us "Jimmy lovers" have said he's a 10-15ish QB. He's getting paid the 17th highest, because of injuries. We were certainly a lot closer than the haters projections of a bag of chips and only a backup.

The real question is now that he's no longer a Niner, why are the haters still here? That all said they couldn't wait for the thread to get moved to NFL Talk so they didn't have to see it. Yet all of the usual suspects are here...

That's not good for Jimmy. Waller is a good TEand a big target. I guess they'll try and find one in the draft.
Jimmy doesn't throw to TEs that often .. might as well get rid of the guy

they will probably pick up shulz

He had a lot of throws to Kittle that gained big yards during his time in SF. The catch and run by Kittle against the saints in 2019 was the reason Gould was in position to kick the game winning FG. Waller was probably their 2nd best receiving option.
Kittle was more of that reason in the 2019 game. Kittle was held back. Mullens unlocked kittle's potential and purdy brought back what kittle can do

I'm here for the MrAtt takes

spin cycle is in overdrive today

The fact that Jimmy got more millions and will be starting for another team has him and a few others triggered for sure. They're digging up the goal posts now to move them.

Maybe some of you guys shouldn't have planted those goal posts to begin with. Jimmy is exactly what his contract says. A middle of the pack "prove it to me" quarterback who will likely have a drafted QB (ala Trey) breathing down his neck.

you guys made it seem he was worth a lot more. Sure doesn't seem like it…
this thread is going to be so much fun this coming season.. those goal posts and excuses will be stacking up..

it's already hilarious now as this signing is some gotcha moment lol

Why is this so hard for some to believe?

* Above average QB when healthy.

* Injured a lot. Terrible injury history. Downgrades his value.

Also the following.

* Teams over pay in FA.

* Teams under pay in FA.

* Teams make right and wrong decisions in FA all the time. It doesn't make them right in their assessment.

Jimmy getting carried again
I'll never understand the hate for jimmy. Best QB we've had since Garcia and helped lead us to a lot of wins. Handled all the outside noise as well as anyone ever has. Class act (except the random old porn star banging hahahah). Top 10-12 qb in the league consistently, great on third down, very efficient, excellent locker room guy. He had his limitations but we could of been a lot worse off.

i wish the guy nothing but the best, unless he's playing the 49ers, of course. Haha
