Don't covet him? See how you have to edit and make up false quotes to feel better? That's what's made this thread so long.

Lol remember when you were saying that win/losses are not on a QB....

On any given play, NFL teams have 22 players on the field at once. What's more is 1 slip-up from any of the 22 players can completely swing a game's outcome.

Given this and the barebone facts, W-L Record is a Team stat,....not a QB stat.

W-L record as a starting QB is certainly something I don't being discussed, though, given the chance that we're going to not leave out the details of -- you know -- the other 21 starters he played with in any given season?

The point is let's stop the misrepresentation: just as in soccer, W-L record refers to a team, not a QB. No player in the NFL has ever been 13-3 for a season, because it doesn't make sense.

If W-L record (winning %) for a QB was really what it was pumped up to be here for maybe 5% of the pages in the thread (Woo anyone?),....Jimmy has $150M GTD to Carr's $100M.

AGAIN,....another case w/definitive evidence that 32 NFL teams wholistically disagree with a crazy conspiracy theory that ran rampant in this thread.

Simple question. What percentage hit do you think Jimmy's injury history affected his contract with the Raiders?

Injury history is as weak of an out as ever in this because NFL contracts are not fully GTD. This isin't the NBA and Jimmy could've been signed for ALOT more. They just dont see him as that caliber of player.

Play with the injury line all you want,...he's not who you told us he was and that's been proven now definitively.

Bro if you want to police my posts in the Trey thread, go do a search and read up. I defended him PLENTY. He hasn't played since week 2 and has 4 starts. There just isn't much to defend. I don't know how else to break that down to you.

Versus Jimmy who was here for 5 seasons, took us to a Super Bowl and two NFCCG's, and won a ton of games. Turned the franchise around and pulled us out of very dark times. So to me, the hate he gets is FAR more illogical and misplaced than Trey. I don't defend Jimmy from "criticism," hell I have plenty of my own. Starting with the fact that it's clear that he was holding back Kyle and not the other way around. I admitted that once Purdy started and unlocked the offense. Purdy is better, clearly. Well more specifically, Kyle/Purdy is better than Kyle/Jimmy. Perhaps a different OC/playcaller will be able to unlock Jimmy in a way that Kyle couldn't.

Again, you have 672 Trey posts to my 485. Plenty of posters well ahead of you. Not sure why you have this wild hair to come after me about Jimmy vs. Trey when you yourself aren't even defending Trey that much.

I disagree. It's far more logical to criticize a player with a body of work then it is a young player who has barely played. Young players make more mistakes. It's something that is baked in. It's far more fair to believe Jimmy will never be anything more than a slighty above average qb then it is Trey will never be anything. The 2nd part has absolutely no data to back that up.

I'm just trying to understand what it is about Jimmy that you and others like you flock to defend while every other 9er player doesn't merit the same devotion. The same things you call out here are actively going on over there.

I only post in that thread because I've never seen a young QB in my life been given so little a chance from fans. Alex got 7 freaking years.

You know what I meant.

And why the constant need to incite and troll? "make up false quotes to feel better?" Why is it so hard for you to just debate normally? THAT is what makes this thread so long.

NFL contract are all about the guaranteed money, this is well known by now. I'll ask it in an easier way. How much guaranteed money do you think Jimmy would have gotten had he played say 90% of his games instead of 50% of his games?
You were asked how much he would get. I personally asked you a number of times how much he would get.

Even if only from 1 team,...it is implied with that simple question that he would be coveted,...and again, that's from a question I asked you, so you can't pretend as if you never saw me ask.

You just completely made up your own narrative out of nowhere with this.

This is essentially jumping off of one raft and trying desperately to hoist yourself onto another.

I agree it's more logical to criticize a player with a body of work than a young player. But people many are going FAR beyond criticizing and instead choosing to be hateful and troll/incite. Same in the Trey thread. In my opinion, it's more logical to defend against this type of illogical hate for a player who has actually been successful and accomplished something with the team; versus a young player who has done neither. I mean how many different ways can you say "Trey hasn't gotten a fair chance yet?"

If/when Trey starts playing and has some success, I'll be there. Bet on that. He's simply not the topic right now. Jimmy just signed his contract with the Raiders, so he's the topic. I wasn't in here much "defending Jimmy" when Purdy was balling out, there was no point.
Finally got the result you wanted and still hating

This was talked about quite a bit. At that time, Jimmy was healthy and playing, and I said $30 to $35M per year. Once he got hurt, the discussion died down. As we approached free agency, I said I thought he'd get more than Geno but less than Carr, because of his injury history. He ended up getting less than even Geno, which was surprising to me. But again, it was a hell of a lot more than backup money, which is what you and most of the other hater crew said he'd get. So I'm not sure why you call this "validation." He's the 17th highest paid QB. For a guy who can barely stay healthy, that's a pretty significant investment from the Raiders, so clearly they see his ceiling as pretty high.

So are you now pretending that I'm not asking you or are you refusing to answer?
