Yet, according to The Athletic, there is nothing to be worried about and another Athletic report stated the delay was prompted by a "procedural hiccup."

I mean imagine thinking that a QB who's being paid as the 17th highest in the league, who missed half the season due to injury, and has missed almost half of his games the past 5 seasons - is being paid a "serviceable" QB? $34M to $45M (I've seen both) guaranteed. That's far beyond serviceable, a backup, a bag of chips. I'm sorry that Jimmy's professional success on the field and in his bank account continues to upset you, but this is reality. He's not perfect, he's not a HOFer, but he's a damn good QB and teams wanted him as their starter. Let's see how he does.

Yeah I'm gonna say no on that. Maybe one or two. Most of the contention in this thread is from ridiculous falsehoods overpraising Jimmy. Such as the claim that Stafford is worse and "F anyone who wanted Stafford," who then won the Super Bowl that season... Regarding Stafford, for example, the falsehood that our coaches didn't want him, when Shanahan said POINT BLANK he tried to get him. Just falsehood after falsehood after falsehood. Or the claim that Shanahan forces Jimmy to throw short and ignore wide open guys down the field. That's demonstrably false. It gets old constantly hearing such ludicrous nonsense. Why can't people just be honest?

Add what I said to that and you have the answer. All good. The no show showed. And for clairity it wasn't a Jimmy presser (although the QB) It was an all new acquisitions.

And I'm not walking back anything. We don't know what the Raiders are going to do on defense. But it's highly unusual for a team to have the exact same starters on either side of the ball, so logically there will be at least some room for discussion of other variables.

Speaking of variables, still waiting for which variables you feel changed in 2017 for the defense to improve after Jimmy became the starter.

Said my piece on it. Not gonna rehash. It won't matter what I say because you've convinced yourself that Jimmy is the reason and will never be convinced otherwise.

You've "said your piece" plenty. But you have yet to answer which variables changed. I'm open to hearing about them. But simply stating the obvious that the defensive players were the ones that went out there and made the plays does nothing to further this discussion.
