Yup.

Edit: Well not completely but anything less than 6-7 wins is a huge disappointment imo.

Yet I can see that being the case even with him playing well. 10-11 teams in conference are better. Marcus Epps alone won't make them competitive.

It's all contextual.

Raiders have one of these best RB/WR combos in the league. I think Jimmy and Adams will probably have lesser worthless fantasy stats the guys here absolutely fawn over but something like converting 3rd downs at a 43% rate instead of 33% rate will be highly beneficial. Jimmy is so successful at moving the chains because he doesn't need your guys made up fantasy stats to get to 3rd and manageable instead of 3rd and 12 because he takes the route that's there a majority of the time. His completion percentage is one of the best in the league because of his presnap ability. Has this left big plays out there? Yes. But a short slant or quick out is faaaaar more successful.

As far as their defense. They won't be great, but I agree with Furlow that being on the field less will also be beneficial. I know it's a difficult concept around here but the more the offense is out on the field, the less points and opportunities the opposing offense will have.
Can't wait to see Jimmy G knock off the Aaron Rodger Jets in the playoffs

I'd be surprised to see either the Jets or the Raiders in the playoffs. Both teams are probably the 3rd best in their own division.

Less opportunities sure. Less points? Not if they can't get stops.

Raiders were 10th in the league in time of possession last year. 1:19 behind the 9ers. That wasn't the difference in the defenses.

So if the defense is on the field less, and the opposing offense has less opportunities to score - you don't think that translates to less points?

I can't anymore.

So 1:19 is gonna make what exact point difference?
Top two teams in time of possession last year were the Commanders and Browns. Nuff said.

The Jets are really good man. REALLY good. They just have trash in the most important position on the team. And I would say the Raiders are 4th in their division.

Depends on Russ. Broncos are same boat as Jets, talent in a lot of spots but QB was so bad it killed them.

And Washington had a top 5 defense and Cleveland was above average. Nuff though. Your arguments are extremely shallow.

Yes they did. Now did you watch them play? At what point did you think damn the defense is so good because the offense is holding the ball so well and is so effective on offense?

The DEFENSE was why the time of possession was so slanted. They got stops regardless of what the offense was doing. Commanders were 22nd in ypg, 24th in ppg. Browns 23rd in ypg 18th in ppg.

How are you in the bottom 3rd in teams yards per game and yet 1 and 2 in TOP? The Defense

1. No one has ever said that TOP is only determined by how good the offense is. OF COURSE the defense has to also be good.
2. It is completely disingenuous to stop at the top 2 teams to make your point about TOP not being a good indicator of team and/or offensive success. But we know why you did that.

Thank you. As I said shallow... It's one of many things Jimmy does to help not his entire repertoire lol. At some point it's just trolling.

Not disingenuous at all because I didn't make the assertion that a QB alone coming to an offense and improving the TOP will single handedly improve the defense and if that doesn't happen is at fault. I'm just showing the correlation works better in the opposite direction if anything.

Nah shallow is blaming Jimmy solely if there isn't team improvement as if it's all on him
