the prob is McD, he did this same thing in Denver, he got both his existing QB and his star WR royally ticked off and traded em away
he didn't even trade a star QB Carr, he just cut him
and that was Adams close friend going back to college..

Owner Bowl Cut is too weak willed to step in, so he just allows these moves to happen

My coworker who is a Raider fan used the exact same terminology for giving a stopgap QB $45M guaranteed. Thats funny to me.

the contract was right in line with what I predicted, prior to his signing
I said not half of Carr; JG is about $72m to Carr's $150m and in gtd, the $45 vs $100m.. it's exactly just less than half, on both fronts

so the contract is no real surprise, shocker, to me at least
neither is McD pulling his team destroying moves, the shocker is a second team handed GM control over to McD, that is the shocker..

and I think it comes down to Sir Bowl Cut, he simply inherited the team, and I think he knows NFL football as well as he knows hairstyles

as an edit on this - I imagine you told your coworker that he/she is making definitive future claims

I guess they were spoiled by the Carr era where they went to the playoffs that one time or so
who was there before Carr, again?

When you can't ever build a halfway decent defense that tends to happen.

this was predicted successfully when the org decided to move on from D Carr. Carr played college with Adams, they are buds. No matter who comes in, when you split up the two, there was gonna be a problem imo; the only guy who would have had Adams happy, other than Carr, is now in NYJ.

Not just that. Bringing in someone like Jimmy doesn't exactly boost your confidence. Even if you try to bring Carr down and say he plays just as good as Jimmy, at least Davonte and him had some type of relationship in their college days.

Let's be real. Jimmy is a WR killer, and Adams knows it. Expect his numbers to go way down this season, and he'll be trying to get out of LV by next season, guaranteed. Jimmy would have been better off on a roster that is building from the bottom up. He would be the best of the worst, and that's a starting point for franchises like Atlanta, Houston, Indy, etc…

lol it has zero to do with JG

this is from 2022 while JG was a 49er

Raiders WR Davante Adams on Derek Carr benching: He's the 'reason I came here in the first place'

No. Please reread those tweets. It has everything to do with JG and the offense going forward.

"It all depends on the style of ball that we play, Adams says. "If we play a certain brand of ball, I can get Garoppolo to conform to whatever. But if we use him a certain type of way, then it's going to make it tough for us to maximize who we should be this year."

My mistake. It was about Carr. You see where it says Garoppolo. He was actually talking about Carr in retrospect….

I posted in a thread as soon as they started messing around with Carr in Vegas (benching, asking him to stay home, trade talks, then cut)
I posted that this won't go over well with D Adams.. it was obvious long before JG entered the picture, now he is sore, predictably, it's cuz he wants a QB named Carr or if not that, Rodgers, that's his choices, he was ticked when it was Stidham last year, question is, will he suck it up and play ball?

but we have seen this script before with Cutler / Brandon Marshall, if you know the McD history, he can't work with ppl, he ends up alienating very talented guys, and usually cuts em trades em and brings his own guys in, like JG
The thread that never dies lol. It's amazing the fascination with Jimmy. I will never get it.
I always see LVR merch on clearance, that's how much locals love the Raiders lol
