On #1, that's your question, who's holding us back, the guy or the guy who picked the guy, it was not a good question imo, this has been hashed and rehashed..

I never said KS holds JG back.. see this is again a twisting, what I said was, if you want to moan about JG being here, he didn't trade for and sign himself, that was the brain trust, which KS oversees,

#2, again a twisting, above you talk about consistency, I consistently say that adding QBs, it's player evaluation, an evaluation of what JG brings when we added him, and what TL brings when we added him.. blame the evaluator, not the player, I consistently say on both, if you have an issue, you twist this into something else entirely, which is player development, we are talking talent evaluation here.. so you get it mixed up

So from a player evaluation standpoint Kyle missed on both players correct?

Is it your assertion that a pre injury Jimmy would be crushing it in Las Vegas this season?

missed on Lance, JG probably has 2 rings here, if we D up the 3rd and long and catch the Tartt ball
it's more a if you think JG was 'holding us back' like WBs question asked, does that not reflect on player acquisition?

The first obvious point is nobody outside of Pats fans would read much into his 2-3 games with NE with maybe some exception for fans of teams like Cleveland who had wanted to trade for him before we did. Secondly, nobody outside of 49ers fans ever thought he was a good quarterback over his time here in SF. Fans thought it was wild that he received the highest contract for a qb in history at the end of '17 and at the height of his powers and the team's success in '19 it was well understood that he wasn't* a bus driver and was being both carried and shielded in our system.

The average fan would tell you he's not a good quarterback… not that he's washed up because of injury. We can easily put this to the test now and beyond that we can also easily dig up threads from various websites from those times.

oh come on, firstly we acquired him from NE so forget the fans, that's a real world JL and KS move, based on an eval of the player. We spent not only a pick, but we pretty much committed ourselves to a contract also at time of trade, not practical to get a rental on a team going nowhere..

second, listen to Troy Aikman who did a recent game, he says he always liked Garoppolo and he was a part of all our success while here. so that is an individual outside of a 49er fan certainly, who meets your criteria, thought he was a good QB here..

bus driver, lord, perhaps explain why the bus was 1-10, then 5-0 overnight, why didn't Hoyer drive the bus, who's not a bad QB

Obvious troll job ^^^
jimmy g is jeff garcia tier range. both absolute dogsh*t qb mechanics, happy feet, bad field vision, but can operate the WCO to a functional level. i can't believe some niner fans love jeff garcia but hate jimmy g. i hate them both with a passion!

I had no problem with the contract, thought it made sense at the time. Don't really see the relevance to what I said. There were plenty of other team's fans that mocked the Niners for it. Media too.

i also don't understand the pushback on the bus driver comment. He was obviously a game manager type who was more of a product of the system and playmakers rather than a driving force of our success. Why would you dispute this? '17 was the only point in time where it looked like it could be otherwise and that idea was well in flux even prior to his ACL tear in '18. Lmao @ thinking Brian Hoyer wasn't a bad quarterback. He most certainly was.

*I don't know why you're now saying forget the fans, which is exactly the point of your post I was responding to. Fans are not going to agree that Jimmy didn't play well in LV because he's washed due to injury.*
