Because there's a large deluded group that still think Kyle held Jimmy back. Defense and Kyles fault Jimmy doesn't have two rings, not his all time worst 4th quarter performances.

If we only had Brock since 2019 we'd have 2 rings. Kyle knows it. Fans should know it.

That's not what he said. He said he was worried because the safety was there and didn't think Brock could fit it in. What he's not used to is a QB who will take those shots and actually hit them.

Jimmy COULDNT. Not wouldn't. A major difference.

Aiyuk said that clear out routes are possible throws from Purdy. Do you know what a clear out is? It's not designed to get the ball. That's play design. But if Purdy sees it's open, he let's it fly.

He chooses to operate outside of the play structure at times, and it's working. So yes, a lot of Jimmy's struggles were because of Kyle. Purdy simply has the right personality to push back against Kyle and move the offense beyond the offense's design.

Yea I don't think that was a clear out route. Brock mentioned it being part of his progression as well.

I'll wait to see the all-22 look to be sure.

it's what the defense gives us. If the defense doesn't go deep then it's Aiyuk. If the defense goes deep you go short. It's still up to Purdy to make the decision, Purdy is not going against what Kyle wants. Kyle is just saying what typically happens in those situations

He also said that ROUTINELY does stuff like this (opting to be aggressive with what he sees is available). That is what I took away from what Kyle said moreso than this particular throw. But Furl doesn't want to hear or admit that cause it kills everything for him.

That plus choosing him over the 2 other QBs we had ='s he's not the tyrant Furlow, NC, and the gang of minions made him out to be.

Now if the guy that actually takes the field half-a$$e$ all the time when it comes to preparation,....then you can understand both parties eventually opting to be more conservative.
