So what do the Raiders do next season? His cap hit is over $28 Million and it's all guaranteed. And they don't have an out until 2025. I don't see any team trading for him with that contract. Even if it's just for 1 year. Raiders might have to offer a draft pick to just get a team to listen.

Agree, it's going to be a problem for them. Another poster on another thread had Jimmy going to Seattle.

That would be amazing. 🙏

Yeah, that would be fun to play Jimmy with even less mobility than Geno, for sure.

Jimmy's won us a lot of games because he fit in Kyle's offense to a T. Having said that, Purdy is a generational QB - like the past 49er QB legends are. It's been (in a sense by 2024) 30 years since we've had QB's at the hall of fame level. That's about a generation.

Amazing. I've never seen an OUNCE of greatness out of Jimmy G. Not with the Patriots, not with the 49ers,...and not with the 49ers.

I'm more inclined to just wait to see it before I call it that way.

Same with calling Purdy a generational QB when things got a little hairy for the kid once Trent Williams and Deebo wasn't there.

I mean @ virtually all the major positions, he has All-Pro level players. Who can say the same right now on NFL offenses?

I can be patient and I can wait before making huge leaps like he's a "generational QB," "more accurate than Drew Brees", and all of this other stuff you've been saying, Giedi.

There's no need to rush and when you do, you end up CONVINCED that players like Jimmy G are great when clearly, they never were.

And in all fairness to him, it's not his fault. Fans are just impatient.

Giedi is the biggest homer. He makes Faithful look like susweel lol.

Generational talent is a stupid take. Those are saved for elite athletes that also play their position very well.

Brady was not a generational talent, neither was someone like Brees.

That term is saved for out of the norm players in sports. Shohei, Shaq, MJ, Deion, Mahomes, LeBron, that sort of players.

Purdy is a damn good, but he's not a "generational" talent. And Jimmy is definitely not great, my god

Ha! I'm an eternal optimist. So sue me!
Idk GGG. I like to wait and enjoy game by game so I don't really like to label guys.. but Purdy is defying the odds as a draft pick, physical dimensions, strength and stats. He could be another Curry, which you left off your list.

Basketball isn't violent enough to watch.

And Jimmy is a great QB, it's just that the Raider coaches and front office *SUCKS!*

Coaching staffs fault, not Jimmy's.

You are right, McD got this whole mess going
he simply shouldn't be trusted to run any NFL teams

😂

Vikings went with some guy missing eyebrows over Jimmy. That says enough about what the rest of the NFL thinks of Jimmy. Only a few Niner fans still think he's a good QB.

You don't even make sense lol, Dobbs? Yeah he was available mid season, and has no contract
he also has a track record now, of acclimating quick,
now if we want to play that game, we traded for JG midseason and he did very well, all posters were a fan of how that worked out,
he just ain't the same dude now, that he was then

So Jimmy is not the same player anymore, but it's the coaching fault that he sucks now.

Got it. Typical faithful lol

I don't think it's the fault of the coaching that he is washed,
I do think it's the fault of the coaching they invested in a washed injury prone as bleep QB1
that was destined for failure, go back to last offseason I was forecasting JG as a QB2
ppl said oh he's a QB1, not from what I was watching, how on earth can you bank on a QB1 who can't stay healthy?
only coach McD pulls that trigger

this is an easy area of agreement for us, or should be..

You never thought JG was QB2 until it was made clear his days were over. There may have been people thinking he's a QB1, but those people were vastly a minority.

everyone knows your posting habits and your stance 4f6. You flip flop every time after it's been proven.

I don't get the blame game you are doing here.

let's get it right, he was good for us, but father time is undefeated
so you will have it that I am a flip flop, so this means I have to insist JG is gonna beat father time?
do you see the nonsense?

this is all pretty simple,

he did well for us, check
he couldn't stay healthy to save his tenure in SF, check
his contract ran out, check
we moved on rightly, check
he stacked so much surg, he's more finished than your turkey day leftovers, check

notice no lie, and no flip flop,
you want to talk the flip flop, that's all the ppl who loved JG in 2017 and were on board with the contract, then flip flopped
