Jimmy still sucks

He's been to three Superbowls. 5 championship games. Not bad for a QB that sucks.
As he's done as much as us to get there.. watch the team get him there

1-10 without Jimmy, 5-0 *WITH* Jimmy.
so is the towel boy.. ironically.. that's his current position.

Tua good due to the system, but jimmy without the prior system is better ?

make it stop

I can't make you stop posting gibberish.

Why is the 2022 Geno not the real Geno?

We are talking career, if the guy takes 10 years to put it into gear, I don't want that guys career,
that was the Alex Smith problem, more or less

Talking up Geno all last year and now he's a one year wonder again. Is he also washed because of his groin?

Colin is Fools Gold, we had Colin for his career, it was terrible. League figured him out fast, and he had zero adjustment. Now if you want to pretend DCs never adjust to his handful of big games, that's not the game we are playing tho

This would be the ultimate determination of whether or not Jimmy sucks, or more politely, if he's 'serviceable' or not. Where would he rank?

In no particular order, here are QBs I'd take over Jimmy in a heartbeat:

  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Lamar Jackson
  • Patrick Mahomes
  • CJ Stroud
  • Matthew Stafford
  • Joe Burrow
  • Josh Allen
  • Brock Purdy
  • Tua Tagovaiola
  • Kirk Cousins
  • Justin Herbert
  • DeShaun Watson
  • Kyler Murray

With some slight pause:

  • Jalen Hurts
  • Anthony Richardson
  • Russell Wilson
  • Geno Smith
  • Joe Flacco
  • Jordan Love
  • Trevor Lawrence
  • Jared Goff
  • Derek Carr
  • Dak Prescott

Here's the group that Jimmy would have to contend with:

  • Daniel Jones
  • Sam Howell
  • Tommy DeVito
  • Justin Fields
  • Baker Mayfield
  • Desmond Ridder
  • Bryce Young
  • Drew Lock

TBH, injuries aside, I don't think Jimmy takes his craft seriously and was fully committed. You can see some of this in his footwork and throwing mechanics *cough* *back foot throw* *cough*. Plus he had a knack for producing several boneheaded plays/throws a game (94 tds vs. 83 turnovers). Don't know how you can teach yourself how not to do that. He relied too much on his ultra-quick release and gunslinger and gung-ho attitude. I'm sure he loves the game; but he needed to back that up with some Tom Brady level seriousness. Oh well, he was an NFL QB for a very long time and that says a lot. I wish you could have brought home #6 for us in 2019!

Id take Richardson off but I agree with everyone else. Even the guys with pause, I'd take them all easily. Even Geno which is interesting. Geno generally takes care of the ball. So much so, I think 2022 Geno or even 2023 would have beat the Rams in 2021 and Bengals to win the Super Bowl.

2016/2017 Jimmy was no different. Fools good. Small samples.

Funny how Colins injuries aren't a factor in your analysis.

Geno? Geno???
the same Geno who got booed out of NY?
It took JG like a decade to get benched Geno was benched for 10 years
my understanding it's you take a player, and you have that player from their rook year on, with no injuries
you would be waiting 10 years for anything if you take Geno, come onn man

What injuries, he stank

Torn labrum in shoulder. Missed half of 2015.

2012 Kap was better than Jimmy ever was. So again if we wanna talk about what players can be based on small sample sizes then we can lament him too. But you only want to do that for Jimmy and Sam. Anyone else that was uber successful for a short time needs to be judged by the entirety of their careers.

So Geno doesn't get the playing in NY Jets excuse.

Funny how Joe Brady looks mighty good with Josh Allen.

Everything you post, is contrarian, one of these days, you'll slip up and say, 'I concur'

Nothing contrarian about it. Using your logic against you. Can't help you can't keep your own arguments straight.
