I don't think Jimmy G. is or was this great QB when he was hear, but he also wasn't a bad one. Regardless of the talent around, a team doesn't go 13-3 with a trip to the SB if their QB was horrible. I also don't think Purdy is this great QB either. He's good, but he's not the second coming of Joe Montana as many are proclaiming, but people just love to hate on Garoppolo. In CMC's first full game and forward with Garoppolo, this team was 4-0 and every gave CMC the credit. Jimmy gets hurt and Brock takes over and goes 7-0, it was ALL Purdy and how incredible he was. When Jimmy was winning, it was because of the defense and run game. When Purdy wins, its ALL Purdy. When Purdy loses, it's a bunch of excuses. He doesn't have this or doesn't have that. The defense didn't play great. They don't have CMC. If you need all those things in order to win games, then you're not a great QB because with all those things, even Garoppolo was able to go undefeated and according to many people, Jimmy is terrible.

You wanna know what leaves me scratching my head...SWH, Stwy, and Gore used to cry after wins for weeks straight, then they get angry that people say something bad about Shanny after losses. These guys had thousands of post being angry after wins, even playoff wins and NFCC's, sheer hatred for absolutely no other reason than Jimmy didn't have intended air yards. Yet when we lose Steve gets angry and lectures fans that blaming the HC... the one constant in all of this is unacceptable. They can cry for years straight, every... single... day about Jimmy winning but how dare others blame the guy running the team after inexcusable losses. I mean they would literally cry because Jimmy threw for 230 yards in a sloppy win because he took the underneath routes. Again and I'm not exaggerating FOR YEARS STRAIGHT...Every single day. Air yards to them were far more important than Jimmy having one of the highest winning percentages in our teams history. Intended Air Yards>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>winning.

He makes difficult throws, moves the chains consistently, able to extend plays, makes all throw on the field, and his personality, leadership, is way above Jimmy's. The only thing Jimmy ever did better than Brock is the QB sneak. There's not one thing Jimmy is better at than Purdy.
