Because Brock isn't the primary reason for the majority of the losses. Now he was terrible on Sunday but that doesn't excuse the defense being so damn awful for most of the year or the incompetent special teams. Jimmy never had the inept defensive coaching Brock has been saddled with making up for the last 2 years.

You'd pick Jimmy over Brock if you could. Just admit it. Doesn't matter that Brock was FAR better for this team in 2023 than Jimmy ever was. Doesn't matter that Brock had to carry the team last year for much of it because the defense had started its massive regression that has continued in 2024. You just want us to all ignore all that to treat him like a guy who has never come close to peak Brock. Hell Jimmy only scored 13 points against a mediocre Saints team with the full complement of weapons Brock went on a run with.

Also Brock makes Pennies on the dollar. Jimmy was the highest paid qb in the league at one point. Once Brock gets his bag expectations should and will increase.

I think Brock will be given a huge contact and I'm ok with that. As I said yesterday I put him on tier 2 borderline tier 1 QB list. He's a good QB sometimes right there with best. Is he perfect? No. But he's not going to be easily replaced.
