We save zero money by cutting him ...you talking about trading him? I feel like his worth is really next to nothing coming off another season on IR and he will be in his last yr of his contract....Seems like this coaching staff loves DL depth as well.
I agree with you on Elvis, we can save around $3 million letting him go...hopefully LEO or even a quick SAM edge rusher will be added to the mix in the off season.

I think so, but a rotation would be better. I like Mitchell along with Douzable, I think the 49ers are getting their D-line in order.
Man I remember talks of Sheldon Day in the 2nd to 3rd rounds, must've fell due to his height.

Meh Mitchell was and is a underwhelming signing imo. I hope we move on from him after the season. Douzable/Mitchell can fight it out for one spot.
Yeah I think I had day in one of my mocks but I thought he was a late 2nd rd pick...shows what I know

His snaps (125) don't qualify for a rank, but for context that's Justin Ellis/Tyeler Davison territory. Corey Peters is at 80.1.
Finished 2016 with a 71.3 grade.

Day is a one gap penetrator, not a two gapping NT. Don't think they are getting rid of Mitchell.
