But you are right, that's a lot of draft capital going to the defense.

i think they want to build a solid defense with depth and leave the last piece to a ER ?

I doubt that. It just wasn't a good year for us with the ERs available. It happens. Every draft doesn't have the right player a team might need available when they pick.

Why waste a pick on someone you don't like, when you can add quality to somewhere else ?
