Dude, the whole dline will look better against that Lions oline, plus we home. The real test is when we face off with Queefs in KC and Chargers.

Buckner gonna get Buck wild. AA and Solly better get theirs too. I expect this "Polar Bear" to cry himself to at least 2 sacks
Maybe Marsh should consider working on a spin move because one of his best rushes came on a spin facilitated by the running back's chip. But seriously, Marsh isn't bad. He's not good, but he's not bad, either.

Kinda like Coyle being in the best position to whiff a tackle. Marsh has all the moves for the most effective non-sack.
At one point this season, I think Marsh will surprise us all. In a positive way.
Don't count him out just yet.
But of course, we still need ER help badly.

Marsh, I think got cheated out of a sack. The refs said he grabbed a facemask, I didn't see it (my view was from behind) but where his arms were, it would have been hard to get one. I hope Pita can improve and get on the 53 sometime soon. We really need a pass rush badly.
Still trash

This was his moment to shine against a poor oline...

My gues is he did it to the OT not Stafford.

That makes sense. If there was a time for him to go from Clark Kent to Super Man, the KC game against Mahomes would be a really good time to do it. Someone on another thread said Marsh had two sacks negated by penalties, I hope he does more than that against KC. He has to get some heat on that QB.
I just saw Marsh's called-back sack. It was a low-quality sack. Stafford had nowhere to go with the ball. Fred Warner smothered his last read, and Stafford moved right into Marsh.

I'm not GIFing it because Marsh doesn't deserve it. Dude is buns.

Personally, I'm thinking Kyle should have gotten Landry. He can make unknowns like Breida and free agents like Alf into solid contributors. He can get unknown WR's like Bourne and make them productive. I really think he should seriously (in the 2019 draft) just load up on defense in that first four rounds. Just load up on more than one pass rusher and a DB or two. I love the Pettis pick, and I think this guy is going to be a super star, but I think Kyle can make guys like a Dwight Clark (he'd be an undrafted free agent) into super stars too. Another acquisition I'm impressed with is Laken. Kyle gave up a low round pick for what looks like a gem of an O Line for his scheme. Same with Person. The guy knows offense. The problem isn't offense though.

I wouldn't doubt that the dudes we passed up after second round of last year's draft got more QB pressure / sacks than this Marsh

Yeah, I agree, they're not the most talented D Linemen we have. But Marsh plays hard and AA does have some talent to push around O LInemen.

Having said that - It's really disappointing we didn't address the pass rush in the draft in basically both years. Solomon is supposed to be a Bennet kind of sack guy, and I guess he still has time to develop otherwise he'd be on the street. On that 3rd and 17 defensive breakdown, Marsh did put enough pressure and got enough penetration to flush Stafford out of the pocket and to the right, and basically AA whiffed on the contaiment and Stafford got free for a long pass. Marsh isn't a bad player, he's just not elite enough to make this defense really elite.
