He might be 💩 ier than I thought. I predicted four sacks on the year. Even that diminutive total appears to be overzealous.

we don't have good coaches any ways and won't for at least 1 or 2 years.

I have no problem with the offensive side of the ball...think they're 13th overall in pts per game and that's with a lot of underwhelming talent currently lining up on Sunday right now.
The defensive side is where I have issues.

He really is...I just watch him get swallowed up on every rush, he's nonexistent and affects the game in no way.

I'm fine with a regime missing on draft picks from time to time and not always "winning the offseason", not sure I'll ever forgive this regime for being unwilling to add competition to one of the most important positions in football, of which we have the least amount of talent. Whoever is responsible for Marsh still being a starter and not trying to add competition whether it be day 3 of the draft or some of the recent players to hit waivers like Tarrel Basham, needs to be fired like yesterday.

I don't know about being fired but hopefully, this serves as a huge learning lesson for the FO. We have the exact same glaring holes on the roster to start 2019 as we did in 2018 and maybe more to come pending health. There were clearly options to improve the team in every one of those needs but we either chose a different direction, were inactive or put parameters around themselves. What's left is what we have for the year.
There's still a lot of good bricks but if this FO is serious about taking the next step towards playoffs competitiveness, they need to change their priorities, make some tough decisions and be more aggressive.

I hope he somehow goes the full season with two sacks at the very most. Anything to wake Kyle and Lynch up so that they realize he's not the answer.

This guy is mediocre but probably it could get worse. Stop with karate kicks already.

One hidden problem with the non-pass rush is the loss of confidence of the secondary personnel. Having to cover for too long, high completion percentage, and being on the field for too long has left the Niners unsure who (besides Sherman) they can count on in the secondary. Last year we had Dumervil. ShanaLynch not re-signing Elvis is the largest mystery.

There is no need to hope for that. It is an inevitability. Frankly, he might get no sacks.

It is obvious they felt they needed to address other positions in the draft. I think they thought between Mr. Sneeze, Marsh and maybe a couple of others that they would be adequate in the pass rush area. So I would not say they neglected that area, but it is fair to question their evaluation of talent if they thought this would be sufficient.

He'll prob get a couple lucky right place right time sacks. But he'll never beat a tackle straight up for a sack.
