It was a bad call.

Yeah but no clue why Marsh felt he needed to go through the refs backside to get off the field. Deserves a flag for contacting an official. Maybe next time he'll go around. No reason to get that close. Watch the tape. Ref standing not even moving and Marsh takes a path of going right through another man. Can't do that. Once Marsh takes a hard step straight at the ref, the ref moves like damn I need to get out of the way.

That's not the point, though. And besides, I see players brush by referees ALL the time getting on or coming off the field. This judge had a vendetta against Marsh for some reason... he deserves to be reprimanded for his actions.

It is the point. It was entirely preventable if Marsh goes a few yards around the ref like any normal human being. Notice a ton of green empty space on both sides of the ref yet Marsh felt the need to brush the official. To me this shows disrespect.

The one and only reason any contact happened was because the official purposely hip checked Marsh. This is indisputable. If you want to ask why didnt Marsh go wider, I dont have the answer to that. But the simple fact is, zero contact happens if the official didnt do what he did. He should reprimanded for that, as many, MANY players and former players are advocating.

And there you have it. In my world if you get so close you're literally brushing against another man you deserve whatever happens next. Football players are insanely big, strong, fast and powerful. Would you like it if NFL players were brushing up against you if you were a ref? No reason for it. Why did Marsh get so insanely close that the ref by adjusting his posture was able to hip check him? In my view if you go looking for trouble you'll find it. If you choose to brush a ref which Marsh for some reason did, you don't get to whine about it after and ask for a reprimand. NFL should reprimand Marsh and remind players to treat officials with respect and give them a wide berth to do their job. If anyone brushes against me at my workplace there will be a problem, guaranteed.

Marsh had a hundred yards of space to get back to his sideline and decides to bee line it right into the ref.

like i said, this dude has been the most entertaining poster since he's been back. the s**t he says is hilarious
That call was crap. Either the ref had a vendetta against Marsh or doing his part to throw the game, either way, bad look for the NFL. Glad Marsh is off our roster, but that was crap.
There are people blaming marsh for the contact?
Next time, make it worth it and bulldoze the old geezer

Could have gone around and given plenty of space, instead tried to go through. This justifies the flag imo. Taunting was a bit of a BS call but you can't brush/bump an official. Had plenty of room to go around and chose not to for some reason. Never thought I would see a day when an NFL player whines to the media about a ref touching him. This guy will forever be a clown in my eyes.

I feel kind of sad for you, if that's your real take.

You say that but no words to refute my take, perhaps cuz you don't have anything?

Your take is trash, I don't want to waste words with you, to be honest. I'll just say this, the refs in this league never face any repercussions for their actions. Calls that ruin seasons, let alone games... weird interpretations of rules or just making s**t up on the spot. Nothing ever happens and if the coach speaks about it on the post game, he gets fined... not to mention these refs have a strong brotherhood.. do you really wanna piss off the guys officiating your games?

With this particular case, there's clear evidence of Corrente purposefully bumping Marsh. Chris Simms spoke about Corrente the next day, mentions several altercations he had with Corrente and how he takes things personally. So now we have a clear pattern of a referee, who should be doing everything he can to stay impartial and non biased, doing the exact opposite.

Do you think Corrente would have bumped Marsh if Marsh was 5 yards away? Would he have ran over and bumped him? Or do you think he did this cuz Marsh was 5 millimeters away?

You don't think Marsh pissed off the guys doing his games going forward? He postgame said the ref was incredibly inappropriate. You yourself said you shouldn't piss off the refs. Welp this clown did exactly that on and off the field lol.

Irrelevant. This is like saying the driver of a car wouldn't have been hit by a drunk driver if he was 2 lanes over from the drunk driver instead of next to him.
