I wouldn't be surprised if Marsh supplants Eli as base SAM LB next year. The organizations seem to like him a lot. I felt like the team was more pumped to get Marsh than Day.

What kind of prioritization do you put on the base SAM position? I feel that's the least important position in this defense. Can't have someone that sucks ass, but there are 10 other defensive positions I'd rather have a playmaker at.

Same.. Lot more experience, better in coverage and faster than Harold. Like his speed at SAM next to whoever is playing LE in base next year when were healthy and have all around better personnel.

Although, I was reminded of the importance of coverage awareness a couple weeks ago when one of Seattle's WRs sat down between the hook/flat and Eli was utterly oblivious to him. lol

We should draft someone named Sam to play Sam.

Or, we can draft someone named Mike to play SAM, a Will to play MIKE, and a Sam to play WILL. So when the opposing QB points out the MIKE, he'll point to Will and now everyone is confused.

Just to get back on track, here's Marsh's first sack as a 49er.

The ivory Aldon Smith. Double-digit sack potential between him and Defo's assists.

LMAO. Even Saleh was chuckling saying Buckner needs to be a little more sly about it.
That said, he said that was one of the first times they've tried it because teams are so keyed in on Buckner so I'd expect to see some more Justin Smith's cometh.
