Big difference between HC and coordinator. OCs tend to do a little better than DCs although there are exceptions.

Let the raid of our coaching staff and front office begin.
This is how we win. Compensatory picks.
The 49ers need to name Adam Peters their new GM with the quickness.
That would mean promoting or moving on from Lynch, or Lynch going back into broadcasting. I don't see that happening.
You don't see a promotion for him? Why not? He's always been the face, or the media guy as opposed to the nuts and bolts guy, which I see Adam Peters as.
I think it's smarter to hold onto the smart people and not let them walk out the door. That can be accomplished without moving on from Lynch.
I see nothing wrong with promoting him. But like I said that would mean moving on from, or promoting Lynch. I don't see Lynch going for the latter at all, and even less so the former. By all accounts Lynch has done a great job. "Promoting" Lynch to some VP position to make Adams the GM would be a slap in Lynch's face, to put it bluntly. I just don't see the team doing this. That will make the FO and overall culture look very bad. Why invite that kind of disfunction?

There's a certain former NFL head coach now coaching in Germany that would definitely be available.

Just make Lynch Vice President of football operations or something like that. I assume that the Niners aren't going to allow Ryans to interview until they're done with the playoffs. Most assistants interview for several jobs before they are offered one. Then it's up to him if he wants to take the job. Ryans is young enough that he will get many more opportunities so he doesn't need to be in a hurry. He can build on his resume and wait until the ideal situation comes along.
Do you really think denying a minority candidate opportunities to interview and missing out on open jobs is really the culture you want to be associated with?
I also think that if Ryans is going to be gone and it seems pretty likely that he will be, the sooner he gets that sorted out and gets set up with his new job, the sooner the 49ers can start looking for a replacement, whether in-house or bringing someone in from the outside.

That's cool. I don't see that interpretation as remotely accurate in the least. Perhaps Adam Peters has been being groomed the entire time to take over the role.
Lynch stayed to be a part of the organization when we had a team that broke through to win the Super Bowl, which may happen this season.
After that? Who knows? Maybe he stays, maybe a TV gig becomes more appealing for him.

If we win the SB I can't see Lynch leaving. Why would he?

He couldn't find a DL job in the NFL? Not sure how well he did after us, but I thought he was a pretty good DL coach.

During a SB run, yes.
Didn't we hire our current HC while he was in a Super Bowl run we interviewed and agreed to the terms while ATL was still playing ball, right?
Yes we did. The bye week before the Super Bowl is generally the time these candidates interview.

Word is he is burned out I think the reality is he's staring at a FQB with spinal issues and no first round pick this year and none drafted over the past many years and he knows he's holding the bag on a team with the window shut.

He was DL coach in Washington from 2017-2019, and in Dallas in 2020. Was HC of Rhein Fire of NFLE in 2006 before becoming DL coach with SF, so no huge surprise he returned there this past year to become the first HC of the reformed team for ELF.
The guy spent 1998-2006 in NFLE and enjoyed it a ton.

I thought the reports was he wanted to just go into TV. Like if I was him I would 100% be looking into trying to spend more time at home with his wife.
