Carroll is a players coach... and Vrabel is very strict from what I've heard.

The Seahawks have a lot of players used to that relaxed locker room. That decision could backfire immediately with lots of players wanting out of Seattle.

Rumor is Pete lost control of the locker room, otherwise he'd still have a job. I don't know that there's a coach out there that wouldn't be more strict than Carroll.

From what I can tell, Vrabel is liked by his players. He just pissed off the owner.

What a s**t hire.

What better hire to fix their broken but talented and young offense

I'm sure Raheem Morris and his years as a *checks notes*

a DC are you kidding?

Not to mention .356 as a head coach.

Vrabel and Mcdonald would be worthy of interviews in Seattle if Johnson is indeed headed to Washington.

Can't believe Atlanta chose to go with Morris after interviewing Vrabel.

I don't want either of them in the NFC West. I hope Seattle hires Quinn.
Raheem Morris is such a meh hire from the Falcons. But willing to see Morris makes good. I think he's a good coach. Have to wait and see if he's a good HC, the second time around.

Not saying he's not a really good defensive coach or that old bit it feels like another retread. I honestly don't think the Falcons know what the hell they're doing. Just seems like the defensive equivalent of hiring Arthur Smith,.

I agree, it's like they just like being mediocre and expect changes with another mediocre hire.

Very thankful not to be a Falcons fan.

Imagine being in the running for Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh and coming away with that.
Atleast they've still got the Braves & the Bulldogs.

Biggest loser, Falcons. He better have a mind blowing plan on offense.

Both Washington and Seattle are waiting for Lions OC and Ravens DC huh?

I'm surprised Seattle hasn't called Dan Quinn's number yet. He was coaching their legion of boom defense back in the day…

Don't get it either. I don't totally hold the Bucs thing against Morris however because he had Josh Freeman as his QB who flamed out and he was pretty young. We are talking about a coaching tenure that was over 10 years ago. And it's not like Tampa got better after firing him, so he clearly wasn't the problem. I still don't see this as a slam dunk hire for the Falcons, but it's possible Morris could be a better head coach now. He's been on that McVay staff a few seasons, so if he is taking any of those guys on the offensive side with him, he may have a chance to have a more interesting offense. They still need to draft well, but whoever becomes his OC will have some great pieces to work with.
