Big Gamble by him. He could make bank if he left right now, but if the Lions have a setback next year (And with possible less HC opportunities), he may not get as good of an offer if one at all.
The Ford's maybe gave him the Jimmy Tomsula offer. Once the current head coach implodes you can be the head coach.
Seriously, in thought his agent was playing hardball last week and he wanted $10M per year? Maybe he didn't see himself as a fit with Wash or Sea ownership.

I think it's a great hire. He's a lousy HC but his style of football fits Pittsburgh perfectly.

The Seahawks are bringing Mike Macdonald to Seattle for a second interview, a source confirms to ESPN (@TomPelissero first). This comes a day after they met with the Ravens DC in Baltimore for their initial interview then flew back last night.

Mike MacDonald is a damn good DC. Don't know how he'll do as a HC, but his scheme is f**king awesome.

Meh in a scoring league, they still went defensive. They will lose OC consistently if they actually become a good offense.
This feels like the Jonathan Gannon hire from AZ last year.
