Seattle is a smart organization, they didn't fire Pete without having a plan and target in place. It's a good hire for them unfortunately.
Now the Commanders are truly screwed. On the surface, it seems like a desirable job but I think the stench of Snyder of still hanging over the franchise heavily. It'll take a few years of positive turnaround to get that off.

I'm here in DC and these fools are all betting on Belichek b/c he grew out about an hour outside of DC. I don't see that but the fanbase is pretty disgusted. To the point that over the last 3/4 years i know folks who have switched over to Ravens fans. Ravens are slowly taking over the area

The Washington fan base has to be super bummed. They finally have what looks like a serious ownership group, and were looking for someone with some juice (Ben Johnson, Mike MacDonald, Bobby Slowik?) I would think Vrabel would be a far more exciting candidate than Quinn or Aaron Glenn at this point.
