Agree. The only way to stop the poaching is for us to lose a lot. Personally, I don't like that way of stopping the poaching.

It's disgusting they can at least wait until the 49ers win a Super Bowl. Don't see anybody stealing KCs staff

I think Andy has a big extensive coaching tree himself. I think he's been poached also. I don't watch or follow KC football, so I defer to somebody who knows better than me.

For some perspective, it happened in the Dynasty years also. Half the NFL seemed to have coaches from Bill's coaching tree when Bill retired from the NFL. Key to any organization is to continue to find diamonds in the rough and find good people that others have overlooked. It's dirty, grinding, grunt work, but it's really the only way to stay ahead of the competition. Peters is going to be a loss, but there's a lot of competent guys left who have the talent to find the next Adam Peters 2.0 (or so I hope). As long as ShanaLynch keep getting to the NFCCG and Superbowl, this stuff is just going to keep happening. Might as well get used to it and prepare for it ahead of time.

so Kyle is stealing everyones scheme now ? lol

im not in the league but the media tells us casual viewers that everyone steals off of eachother so going off of that kyle better be the biggest theif around. so im saying design wise, i think you make up some of the losses by being a a bit of copycat since its a copycat league. like using deebo similar to the way mcdaniel uses tyreek in some play designs/schemes or what not.

whereas im wondering how do you copy/steal someone's higher hit rate of finding late round draft pick ability....since they tell us certain lower round picks were peter picks.

The 49ers have the best team in the NFC. 7 All Pro players. 5 on the first team. Home field advantage through the playoffs. They still have all their coaches and their GM.They still have their cap guru.

Sorry but I can't worry over losing an assistant no matter how good he was. Lynch and the front office has proven to be pretty good at finding good people to fill jobs.

what have you been watching this whole time for 7 years ?

We've been running deebo every which way before Mcdaniels left

Everyone is poaching Kyle's system, but Kyle is the one stealing from everyone else ?

We just don't know how responsible he was for our drafting success. A big part of why were good is because we keep finding draft gems to play under rookie contracts.

Lynch will need to find someone else to get his coffee and pick up the dry cleaning now.
Only concerns I have now are 1) how many scouts and staff will he steal, 2) who now leads the scouting team and in-house system for pooling all college players for the big board compilation and scheduling and 3) will there be a GM or GM Assistant hire/promotion while Lynch retains his new President of Football Operations title or will he resume the exact same GM role but now lead Peters former role of managing #2?

It's a weird dynamic of the same coin. Both sides say they aren't sure on everything AP did but one comes from the angle it was an important role and is a big loss and the other, it's not that big of a loss (again, while admitting not knowing his true contributions).

I guess we'll find out this season as there will be a new team leading the building of the draft board.

Nobody knows for sure but if he was that important and had more to do with their draft success than Lynch, they would have fired Lynch and kept Peters. At least that's what I would have done if that was the case. I think fans often over react to these things and feel losing anyone is going to be doomsday. This isn't like losing Kyle. That would have a major effect.

Doesnt usually work that way with GMs. They don't tend to raid their former teams and end up building their own scouting staffs. Also Washington already has some well regarded people in house.

Marty Hurney, Chris Polian and Martin Mayhew have prior GM experience. Eric Stokes has repeatedly been brought up as a future potential GM. Jeff Beathard, the son of Bobby and uncle of CJ works as a scout for them. They've already got a lot of talent in-house. In fact 49ers should go raid them!

Adam Peters has been successful everywhere he has been. He will take Washington far. This was his time.
I'm just glad we are not in the same division. Not sure where the 49ers go from here. But bring in a new upcoming scout from another team like we did with Peters and make him Assistant GM or GM..There are plenty to find out there....But we need to worry about this season first.

Bring Belichick into the front office as an advisor to help alleviate the loss of Peters. Whichever players Bill likes, don't draft them. There's value in that.

Kinda would like to see them go after Eliot Wolf who is with the Patriots right now. He's accumulated a ton of scouting experience by this point and might welcome going into an environment where his recommendations aren't just flat out ignored.

LOL, that would be a nice change for once. Would Lynch have an inside knowledge with scouts across the league to do that since he didn't come up that way?
