Good luck to Peters! Surprised by the HC pick, but your young splashy hire took the Seahawks job. Still thought there was better options out there at this point. We will see

I was told for years that Adam Peters was the true architect of the SF roster. He alone stood on the table and forced Kyle/Lynch to draft Warner, Kittle, Purdy, Greenlaw, E Mitchell, DJ Jones and all of the other mid to late round gems and vehemently opposed each and every bust pick the 49ers made since 2017.

Only for him to hire Dan Quinn to be his first HC.

I'm beginning to think what you guys told me is not true

It's one thing to be a good talent evaluator, it's another to be able to convince someone to be your head coach.

Maybe so but some on here wanted Lynch to step down and Peters to take over. There are even a few fans on here that would fire Lynch and Kyle and go with Peters and I guess his pick Quinn. Imagine going into next year with that combo!!!

This guy hiring Quinn over Vrabel is proof positive that good f'ing riddance. All hail John Lynch, GM for life
Not into defending Adam Peters. If you look at Washington's defense, they are last in the league. When Kyle and Lynch took over the 49ers, what's the 1st priority-- improve the defense. In the case of the Niners it was the run defense Dline. Getting a defensive HC is the right move for Washington. If they can improve their defense to middle of the pack it would be a success.

Going to be interesting to see this play out. Once Johnson was out, I've said before I'd have gone with Pete Carroll. Vrabel would be 2.

Depends. Dallas did not have good run defense. We will see how that draft goes. I would love for them to trade for Trey and have him start to settle this debate once and for all.

The more reports that come out the more I think Ben Johnson is a prick.

Would be a great move. Dude is a brilliant offensive mind, just a terrible game/clock manager and not a good lead guy. Sticking to offense is his best shot for success.

I think you're right. Quinn was a horrible choice.
But, who knows. Plenty of young coaches failed with their first stop in the NFL, only to find success when given a second chance.
Quinn with Kingsbury is trying to recreate something similar to what he had with Kyle.

A pretty good defensive mind with a great offensive mind.

They just need to improve the roster. If Peters can do that, they'll be in great shape. I don't think Quinn is the same without a great play caller, but he got one of the best out there. I think Washington has a chance to be much much better.

IMO they will surprise some folks. Now, that said, change their horrible name too and they'll be set, lol.
