Still gotta overpay. No matter how attractive a place is, players still want to get paid. Cleveland has got to be the least desirable place and they sign players every year.

I have no clue regarding scouting and stuff like that. In the draft, I rely on the draft nerds here to figure out which way is up.

Agreed. Really like to have this guy as our Personnel guy & will be very happy to see him moved up to GM so we can retain this guy for a long time!

It will never be attractive with a value pinching cap guy in a state that taxes the crap out of you. Not that I don't like our direction. It's just we'll never be the fa winners.

Does winning FA correlate to success the following year? Jets are trying like hell to win FA this year and on the surface it seems like they've just overpaid a bunch of guys. Redskins come to mind as bad FA spenders in the past as well.
Yet to be seen of course but I think the 49ers will be rewarded for their restraint in not picking up potentially bad contracts during the initial wave of FA.
