Keep an eye out on our mid-to-late round successes from now on because I always figured Peters and the other scouts had more say in those rounds. If we still keep hitting on gems then probably not.

is this the guy responsible for finding Brock Purdy?

Nope. I think that was mostly a scout, Brian Griese, and Kubiak if I remember it correctly on how it was reported.

This. Seems there has been the threat of him leaving for several off seasons. He's got a big job ahead of him for sure.

Agree. I thought he was gone for sure last year and/or the year before. Or at least since 2019, our last super bowl appearance.

I'm not saying he wasn't good but if he was that important they could have promoted him to GM and given Lynch a bump at the same time. These things happen every year around the league but somehow teams carry on. They'll find someone to replace him and it may turn out to be somebody better. You never know.

NY85 is right in the sense that Kyle runs the show though. Having said that, losing Peters is going to hurt a bit. Not a fatal loss, but a loss nonetheless. Sort of like losing Jimmy. Yeah folks don't credit Jimmy with much in the way of winning games these past couple of seasons - but he was an important part of the offense. Same, I think, with Peters. Hope Lynch and Kyle can find a Brock Purdy version of an assistant GM in the offseason to replace Adam.

There's nothing they could have offered him that would top what he's getting from Washington.

Bummer, he seemed like the personnel brains behind everything. We'll have to see what comes out. He was likely a good assistant GM but maybe someone else was the talent evaluator. We've know here Lynch and Shanny have done the 1st 3 rounds and fallen for bad players.
We do know certain picks Peters wanted like Thomas. He was big on Lance. Could letting him go be the fallout of the bad decision?
We normally should have been able to keep him by making him the GM. Lynch won't stay forever either. i guess Peters does get total control there it seems.
Have to see who replaces him to tell how big a loss it is. i like that maybe this establishes Washington as our farm team. Mayhew hooked us up with Young.
Now we need Peters to send us Terry Mclaurin to us after june 1st for a few draft picks. Add him now to replace Deebo once Purdy gets his money.
