The Bell contract will be mostly paid by the Jets except for the veteran minimum offset prorated paid by KC. KC is probably paying less than half a million and the Jets around $8 million. Not an Al Davis fan but I would have treated Bell like he did to Marcus Allen (Allen didn't deserve it, but Bell does).

Has the rookie RB been struggling or something? Why would the Chiefs want Bell? I would think only teams who are in desperate need of a RB would take on that headache. And Mahomes throws the ball like 80% of the time, So there is not even alot of carries to begin with.

Bell definitely puts another wrinkle in Reid's offense . They can put Bell in the slot . I don't think the rookie is any where Near as good a pass catcher as Bell is

And even if he's not in the slot he's still got value. Bell was catching 80+ passes a year with the Steelers. In 2017 he had 85 catches, which was 10th-most in the NFL. So even as a traditional running back he can get a lot of screens or checkdowns.

A reporter asked Bell's agent why he chose KC. His answer was two words long: "Andy Reid."

Bell sees Reid as being the best at getting the most out of a player on offense.

Not gonna lie Andy Reid was my choice to be our HC. But it didn't bother me we got KS. I like how they run their team, I just like how Reid is aggressive on Offense and I feel he develops QB pretty well.

ANDY learned that by NOT going all out when he was at Philly can actually go UGLY... he tried to hold back by not going all out and he ended up in KC even after being a winning coach in Philly...

Here in KC, he knows things can still go ugly... but what he learned is the fact that IF YOU GONNA END ON THE STREET, YOU MAY AS WELL DO IT YOUR WAY...
