Will someone please justify that Bell will get $15m, like it's a given? I'm not going to play under a second tag too. Nope. Not gonna do it. I'll retire first, and you all are gonna be sorry you didn't pay me more on a long term deal.

If he gets franchised tagged, he will make 14.6 million next year.

He makes $12 mil now, n rule is if you get consecutive franchise tags your salary goes up 20%

he would be a perfect fit with Jimmy. he doesn't need 20 carries because he can give you 10 catches a game.

I know. I'm saying that price is too high, and the Steelers won't even consider doing that, which means he hits free agency, and he'll probably bring about $12m again on the open market. We might want to do that, depending on the terms.

Exactly. Especially considering Jimmy Franchise is going to get 25 mil

Yep. That's debatable, but he is a great receiver and a good fit with Kyle. And there is no draft capital expenditure. Might work in the short run.

It's the $15m I can't comprehend. If the Steelers did franchise him again, he wouldn't even be available.
On NFL network they just announced that the Steelers are going to tag him for 2018. Let's see if he calls their bluff and retires.

He'll sit out training camp and the preseason, but I think he'll be back for week 1.
lol ain't nobody sitting out and missing out on that much $$$$4 nice try Bell.
He isn't retiring but cause of that there's a slightly bigger chance that he could become a free agent like josh Norman did.

How much JG makes is only a minor piece. He is one failed drug test from missing half the year...or more.

As good as he is, I just can't seeing tying up that much money, and a roster spot to take that risk.
Unfortunately for him good RBs come put every year and they can be plugged into that offense. And RBs get hit almost every play so tagging a good RB like Bell gives all the insurance to the team especially for season ending injuries
Lol retire go for it. Dumbass
Decent bluff. Doesn't harm him any if he doesn't retire.
