Steve, I think you're a good poster and you I and agree in Ninertalk almost all the time. With Smith, your post are irrational. When I have time later today, we'll take a deeper dive into why. You're too good of a poster to become extremely irrational when it comes to him... Let's figure this out.

If you really feel the need to have a deep dive as to why you feel I am irrational in this thread but no other thread, PM me.

I have no problem discussing it in here, but I am sure no one else wants to read it.

If you two feel you must, that is the place to do it, not here. We've been through all that stuff too many times already.

Clearly its not TWO of us that feels this is necessary dj. You know that.

In those two games, his ratings went up in the 4th quarter. Before that, not so much.

Of his 380 yards in the Philly game, 90 of them came on the final possession of the game. Still, a good game.

In the Dallas game, same story - 65 of his 221.

He's a back-up. That's what he is.

No reason not to play Haskins at this point unless he has been stinking it up in practice. OTOH, we have seen what happens when a highly regarded young QB is forced to play on a bad team with a bad coach, so maybe it is better that Keenum just keeps playing until Gruden is canned and the new coach can deal with it.

I wouldnt play Haskins right now. That team is bad, and has few offensive weapons, and you don't want Gruden killing his confidence. Fire Gruden, bring in a good offensive hc, and start him next year.

And both of those 2 stat lines would be in range to what Alex did there. He averaged 218 a game. It's not like Wsh was KC. Keenum played turnover free ball and did put some points on the board. That's about all you can ask from Keenum.

Fair enough, although, I think it's a good discussion to have on why many posters have an extended, somewhat irrational disdain for this guy. Way different than any other player in webzone history. Some of it is politics... but you and I can hash it out

Same here. Gruden is on borrowed time and Haskins should get some run soon

tl; dr: Not every post needs a counter post and it is ok to ignore things one disagrees with, including posts of those that just might like a player more than you do.

Great post from a voice of reason

Didn't think my post would be controversial, and is not a post designed to create frenzy. If anyone disagrees, I would love to hear why

QB play hasn't fallen off. Keenum was awful against the Bears, Alex was awful against the Saints in game 4. The problem for them is that the defense and run game they rode in the first half of last year is non existent.

The Redskins only won last year when the defense held the opponent under 20 points and the offense rushed for over 100 yds. Every time the opponent scored 20 points, or the offense didn't rush for 100 yds, they lost because their passing game was terrible.

The Redskins have yet to rush for 100 yds or hold their opponent under 20 points. Based on the fact that Alex couldn't win a game under those circumstances, he too would be 0-3.

There is no biased or unbiased. What I said is fact.

Case Keenum Redskin record when opponent scores 20+ points, and offense is held under 100 yds rushing — 0-3

Alex Smith Redskin record when opponent scores 20+ points, and offense is held under 100 yds rushing — 0-3

Yes, you're very unbiased about Alex Smith. You were in the year 2010, 2019, and will in 2040 when you're still posting about him. We appreciate your contribution.

Do you think he wasn't that good? What other thoughts do you have about him?

Edit- I know you're unbiased and are an Alex smith expert, but you may have made up that stat, or 200 stats. No biggie though. We appreciate your unbiased assessment of smith. I think he sucks really badly because of your last two posts. Twenty minutes ago I thought he was a decent qb. Thanks for your help. Would like to hear more from you on him
