Same here . it seems as though they ran out of steam and are burned out from scoring so much. Idk.I've seen it before.

Playing the raiders might change that tho.

Red hot teams go down in flames during the playoffs.
I can see the Chiefs losing in the AFC championship game.

Same with either the Rams / Hawks.

Saints vs Pats will be your super bowl.

Pat took the 31st rated defense to the #1 seed in the AFC.

Give that man his MVP trophy now. Special season.

That was nice but I'm picking Aaron Donald over Brees and Mahomes.

Well that makes one of you, sir.

The idea that any defensive player deserves it over Mahomes or Brees this year is patently ridiculous.

In fact, I would argue that there has never and will never be a defensive player that deserves it over a QB MVP candidate.

You lost me at hyperbole.

Well, somehow Alan Page and LT made it.

Donald may be among the top 5 DTs of all time. His combo of speed and strength allowed him to do things this season that no one else in the league is capable of doing. With Suh only a shadow of his Detroit days, Donald dealt with double teams 50% of the time and still dominated the LOS.

I know people get all excited about fantasy numbers and Mahomes put up huge numbers but that KC offense was not chopped liver last year.

It's not, really. Mahomes and Brees both had great seasons, but all the rules are slanted in favor of the offense in the NFL. Donald is consistently dominant against anyone he lines up against and has been since college.

Great. And I stand by the idea that in spite of how amazing Donald is, he had no where close to having the impact on his team that Patrick Mahomes had on his...Brees either.

The rules today protecting the QB make it easier to run up scoreboards and break offensive records. They also make it alot easier to get flagged on defense.

Defensive guy should get the MVP IMO.

Donald had what, 20 sacks from the T position? That is what's ridiculous. We've never seen that kind of dominance from a DT, ever. Donald deserves this above Pat or Drew hands down imo, but I think it's unlikely so im rooting for Pat.

The fact there are people agreeing with you is boggling my mind. We will see when the votes come out. I would set the over under at amount of votes higher than 3rd place votes that Donald gets at o/u 0.5 total votes.

In a league driven by gambling/fantasy football, it would not surprise me that a QB gets the trophy. However, in each case, they are highly dependent on the weapons they have around them.

That is not the case with Donald. He is not only on an island, he is constantly being double-teamed. People talked about how Suh was going to make Donald even better but it didn't happen. Despite rarely being doubled, Suh had an off year. Donald, OTOH, had arguably the best season a DT has ever had. The Rams even tried to help him by adding Fowler to take the pressure off but it didn't matter. Donald still prevailed. Every OC they faced had nightmares trying to come up with a game plan to slow him down but they all failed. Four teams beat Mahomes and the Chiefs. Two teams beat Brees (he didn't play yesterday) and the Saints. Nobody beat Donald. THAT is the very definition of an MVP.

This is why the Rams have it all wrong. Donald should be playing RB/H-Back/TE on offense and only 3rd downs on defense.

It is interesting that Donald trains with the skill players to improve his quickness and agility. He doesn't train with DLs.
