KC has gone from squeaky clean to not-so-clean. Hunt, Hill, now Frank Clark (although Clark has been a good citizen in Seattle).

The Chiefs rolled the dice on Hunt and Hill because of problems. If you are going to do that, you also need to hire a full-time baby sitter to teach these kinds of guys what they did not learn at home.

The sad reality is that kids who are raised in violent situations will reflect those conditions in their adult life.
Let's let the legal system play out. He didn't admit anything in the tape. Not saying he didn't beat his kid, but I don't know that he did. Suspending him until the legal system convicts or some other kind of clear evidence is provided is the right thing to do.

IDK, I listened to the recording made by the child's mother. To paraphrase:
Mother - "He is terrorised of you" …
Hill - "You should be terrorised of me too" (followed by the B' word)

And that's just a small sample of what I heard … yet enough for me
My Dad was tough on me. - albeit mostly the fear of God by verbal threats -
But never when I did something wrong at 3 years old, did I have to open my
arms and expose my chest to his punches … WTF !

My dad whupped us as well but we did make sure to be home on time .As we got older since we could block the hits his new tactic was to yell at us in front of our friends if we didn't listen. Never did he break a damn arm or hit my mom tho. Idk it's not for everyone.
Only reason I think we need to let this play out is because there might be a reason why his girl taped him and released the audio. She could of did it.

But yeah the audio is enough reason for the Chiefs to suspend him and 1ait to see if he's cleared.

Espinal: "And now somehow this investigation got brought back up, and you're about to lose your s***. So now I really want you to sit and think about it because I rode for you against that detective and the CPS people. And they said time and time again that (---) literally, (---) kept saying, 'Daddy punches me.' Which you do when he starts crying. What do you do? You make him open his arms and you punch him in the chest. And then if he gets in trouble you get the belt out."
Hill: "Ok, so what about you? What are you gonna do?"
Espinal: "I told them that he gets whooped. I told them that he gets whooped, but I don't use a belt. Which is totally different."
Hill: "You do use a belt, and that's sad. Even my momma says you use a belt."
Espinal: "When have I used a belt? When have you seen me use a belt with (---)?"
At another point during the recording, Hill denies hurting his child during the incidents in question but later makes a threatening statement to Espinal.
"He is terrified of you," Espinal is heard saying, to which Hill replies, "You need to be terrified of me too, b****. That's why you can't keep a f***** man."

That's the entire transcript according to 247sports.

Hill did not confess anything. Nothing was said about how hard he punched him or spanked him. So basically, you have a tape of someone else accusing Hill of something that you can only make assumptions about. Please explain why this necessitates termination instead of a suspension until some kind of clarity is provided? Remember, there are no injuries on this child as far as we know and you're also impacting that child's life in a huge way (including financial) if you're even remotely wrong.

Hill or Me? Are you're suggesting that I somehow would be an unfit parent or partner because I believe in due process? I'll be the first to jump on the bandwagon once he's convicted of something...but until then? Nope. Seen too many innocent people falsely accused of s**t or they did something and it was exaggerated. I'll wait and see. Suspension pending investigation does the trick just fine for now in my opinion.

You. Are you "unfit?" I have no clue. But if you're worried about "due process" after listening to that audio, hearing the story, and knowing that his kid has a broken arm - then I can only conclude that you don't have a wife/girlfriend and/or child. Because anyone who does understands protecting those who can't protect themselves is important.

"Yeah he's terrified of me, you should be terrified of me too." Makes his kid open his arms and punches him in the chest (he said "okay" when she said he does that). A three year old. You're defending THAT. Give me a break, dude.

You would think we would have learned something from the Reuben Foster situation...

I am both married and have a child. I didn't ask if I was unfit. I asked if you were suggesting I was.

Actually, I didn't know about the broken arm. While I am concerned about that, he didn't admit to breaking the arm..in fact he denied it in what he thought was a private conversation. Again, punching him in the chest doesn't mean much to me...I have no idea how hard he is punched. We heard no reports of contusions on the child's chest. Do I agree with it? No...do I think that punching in itself substantiates child abuse? No. Do I hope he's being investigated? Yes...and he is by the Department of Child and Family Services (the DA has already announced that Hill WILL NOT BE charged criminally). Additionally, the child is not with either parent, so until the investigation is done, the child is safe.

What would termination accomplish that suspension pending investigation (meaning they can terminate later if justified) couldn't, other than appease your sense of outrage? Because that's all I've suggested...to suspend Hill until the investigation is completed and then respond accordingly.

Completely different situations. Hill is on tape admitting that he punches his three year old in the chest and says his child and girlfriend should be terrified of him. Scum of the earth and in no way deserves to play in the NFL. "The law" in this case is irrelevant. The NFL is a league and business that is intertwined with the community and public. Trash like Hill has no place in it, and people defending him are extremely misguided. I'm hoping they're just arguing for argument's sake and don't actually approach their personal lives in such an unemotional and robotic manner.
