Pretty much. I'd take Mahomes over Jimmy and Mahomes over Jimmy + Solly too. It's just not something to get upset about.

Ya can't get mad about it. Nobody saw this coming. Plus, everybody knew we werent drafting a qb, since we were supposed to sign Cousins. This wouldve only hurt a lot if we drafted another QB in the first instead of Mahomes.

The team shouldn't have been targeting Cousins and didn't need an interior DL.

I was all for Mahomes or Watson and totally opposed to drafting yet another defensive tackle.

It was a massive miss on a huge need.

This is what kills me. Cousins is solid, but he's nowhere near the type of QB you put the franchise on hold for.

I think Kyle just wanted a solid QB that was already familiar with his offense. Which makes a lot of sense, but obviously looks bad in hindsight with how Mahomes, Watson, and Solomon Thomas have turned out. And also Cousins' stock has dropped a lot in the last few years.

In a perfect world, we would have taken Mahomes, but we're not in a bad situation right now with Jimmy.
He is going to throw for 6k yards maybe this year. Definitely at some point in his career.

I doubt anybody will ever crack 6k. At least not in a 16 game schedule. Thats like 375 yards a game.

This Baltimore game is going to be fun to watch. Two great offenses going at each other. We have heard all about KC but the Ravens are a machine on both sides of the ball.

Baltimore's defense is very good. ETIII is still ETIII. Having him in the back to anchor that secondary brings back memories of Ed Reed. The rest of the secondary is not chopped liver either. The front seven is all above average or better. If anyone is going to slow down the Chiefs offense, this might be the gang to do it.

On the other side, though he doesn't have the total yards Mahomes has, Lamar Jackson has equal or better numbers in all the other important categories. Mark Ingram brings toughness in the run game. Key on him and Jackson averages 6.6 yds. Marquise Brown is everything college scouts thought he might be and could have a good day against a KC secondary that is not sterling.

Recorder set...

Andy Dalton is on pace for 5,832. So i think its a tad early to project anything.

Lets see how Jackson looks against a real team. So far they beat the Dolphins, and almost lost to bad AZ team. KC is gonna force them to pass, should be a good test for him.

I'll take Jimmy for a 2nd over using a 1st on Watson all day.

The team desperately needed an edge rusher then and hindsight being 20/20 we can all see Solly is not that but at the time our fo thought he could be a Michael Bennett player. Someone who can dominate at strongside edge + kick inside. I wasn't a fan of the Solly pick but even today in a redraft I wouldn't be mad if Shanny passed and took Jimmy again. He's a d good qb, yeah Mahomes is better but coaches sometimes prefer to work with certain attributes.

Dalton won't crack 5k. Mahomes will definitely crack 6 though. Guy makes it look effortless. Chiefs have insane levels of talent around him too. He would make anyone who can get even a little separation and catch look good though. Just watch.
Soooooo many checkdowns from merhomes.

Idiot harbros going for it all the time on 4th down. Lol

He takes what the Defense gives him then he makes a strike down field.
He is a Awesome talent.
Mahomes is basically who Niner fans thought Kap was going to be.

Nah, he's way better than that. Dude can essentially throw the ball every way possible. Finesse, inside the numbers, outside the numbers, it doesn't matter. Mahomes is on another level and despite their defensive shortcomings, they look unbeatable.

Mahomes isnt a runner though. Jackson is a much better comparison
