I'd say Michael Jordon........so far.

Crazy when you think about it, many of the franchise QB's (Brees 40, Rogers 35, Manning 38, Brady 42, Big Ben 37, Rivers 37) are on their way out.

This leaves: Murray 22, Mahomes 24, Watson 24, Mayfield 24, Wentz 26, Jimmy G 27, Carr 28, Newton 30, Wilson 30, Foles 30, Cousins 31.

Mahomes is or will be the Michael Jordan of the NFL, unless he forgets how to play football!

Nah, right now he is the Dominique with all the stats. When he wins championships, he will be MJ. Brady closer to MJ.

True

I also left Lamar Jackson off that list, the QB position can get thin if the young guys don't step up soon.
BROKEN LEG....BRADY'S YEAR.....AGAIN
Chiefs offensive line looks like garbage.
Didn't see that coming. .. Take an L to the Colts?

Even the best suffer when you don't have weapons.

They have a really good defense. Im not surprised.
He's like Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson. He will wow you with highlight plays. And capable of pulling out a win for his team. But it's not sustainable through 16 games. At some point he needs a good defense and offensive supporting cast, then it's very likely a SB year if he has them.

If they somehow get to the playoffs, supporting cast or not, he's very capable of upsetting the playoff opponents.

His arm strength and accuracy is unreal

Makes you wonder what our running game could do with all the speed we have.

I agree with the premise of this statement, however you just have to point to the Chiefs 2018 season to prove the statement false.

It's not sustainable if you are missing key components:

Watkins
Hill
Even with Indy's decimated secondary, without those two guys, that offense looked very average.

Wylie
Fisher
When Wylie went down, the PP, already hurting with Erving at LT, became full junk.

Indy could run at will even before Jones went out. After that it was just a fait accompli. Of course, with Costanzo, Nelson on the left side of the line, it will make a lot of DLs look bad. Once Jones went down, Kelly added to the domination.

As good as Mahomes is, last night proved what everyone knows, when you don't have all your pieces, you are not going to win against a good team.

Last night was a good growth night for Mahomes. He has been on a two year honeymoon to this point. He will have to learn what Rodgers and Wilson have already learned - how to win when your main targets are missing. It can be done just as Rodgers proved yesterday with Davante Adams missing.

Mahomes will learn.
Also, I am annoyed at the lack of a nationwide outrage over Travis Kelce shoving his coach on the sidelines. If he was TO, people would be calling for a lifetime ban.

I saw that. The outrage is lacking, IMO, because Kelce came back and hugged EB.

It will be interesting to see how KC comes against the Texans next week. Mahomes and the Chiefs have been getting TONS of love from everyone while they were flying high. It is easy to be all lovey with all that. Everyone talks about the measure of a team is how it deals with adversity. This will be the first time this team has dealt with adversity in the Mahomes/Reid era.
He messed up his ankle as well early on, i wonder how bad it will be going forward, no doubt that was a big issue last night.
