uh, no, he wouldn't. When a QB has two key OL out, top two receivers out, and no running game, they lose. However, I do understand your desire to stir the pot.

Really I'm just mad that you let the inmates run the asylum in the AS thread and then locked it before my "ban" had even expired.

You and I have spent enough time in Smith threads for you to know I was an ardent supporter for the real Alex Smith, not the one imagined by both extremes of the debate. Hence, closing that thread was not something I did lightly. The truth is, there is nothing new to discuss. It simply continued to be a trouble spot with no end in sight.

There may be a time when it is re-opened but for now...

I think updates on his rehab and the state of the Redskins without him (1-11 since he was injured by the way) is more than enough reason to keep the thread open. Just needed to ban 3-4 of the same toxic people who couldn't let go of their hate. Is what it is for now. If/when he makes a comeback (I doubt it) it'll be an open thread once again.

Mahomes is the best QB in league by the way, and it's not even close. The number and types of throws he makes from different spots on the field and from the variety of arm angles is like nothing I've ever seen.

Are you also advocating to ban the "toxic" people in the Kap thread? Seahawks thread? Jim Harbaugh thread?...never seen you say that about the people in those threads. I was just in the JH thread yesterday and was talking s**t about him and tjd was there defending him, but not once did he cry toxic behavior or ask for people to be banned bc they have a different opinion.

Cant have it both ways. Its a football forum and people will have different opinions than you.

I don't go in those threads much. But if the same thing exists there, then yes.

Well that's just ridiculous then. If the internet and other people's opinions get you that shook, than you should probably log off...unless its obvious trolling, i dont understand whats wrong with it. Freedom of speech is great, dont hate on it.

And the mods were right to lock that thread, its a rehash of the same thing. Nothing new is happening with Alex

You replied before I edited. I didn't care about the toxic posters. I was simply saying rather than locking the thread, why not just ban them?

And how can you argue for "freedom of speech" and then say a thread should be locked? Lol
So what's up with his ankle? Dude was getting lit up.

I used the wrong words there, nothing wrong with the thread staying up, im assuming the mods got sick of the constant reports from people who get mad at others opinions, so it was right from their pov.
Funny how rushing 4 and playing man is the kryptonite for every QB ever.

Also controlling the TOP.

Who would have thunk.

Helps that their defense is still hot garbage, 30th against the run and now without a pass rush on top of that. Chiefs fans were giddy at the team moving on from Houston and Ford and now their pass rush isn't even in the same zipcode as opposing QBs.

Despite chiefs poor defense, their offense is enough for the media to think they r one of the top teams in the NFL.
Chiefs defense was aweful. They need fix for defense zone!!

And you think they arent?

They are but their roster construction is flawed. They actually got worse from last year. Last year they had a pass rush and could actually pass block. Only so much Mahomes can do when so much of the rest of the roster is a mess.

Belichick is sitting there like:

Yep. Team has major holes but they dont prevent them from being a top team in the league.

No they arent.

Last year yes, they were fairly balanced. Also built like the 2000's colts, score TDs and kill the QB.

This year they are more like the 07 patriots, but with a few holes. And there are 6 or 7 teams that can rush 4 against them.

This comment makes me want to clarify my previous comment.

They will likely go 12-4 or better. But i think lose their first playoff game. They remind me of the 2011 lions in that regard. Actually i would say that is a better comparison than the 07 patriots.
Merhones and Reid are screenplaying their way to another win..

Tyreek may be a pos human being but DAM is he good.

Can track the ball down, has size and amazing speed .

T hill > AB imo.
Yep. To the tye hill thing. The man is just special on the field, so exciting to watch.
Texans are idiots.

Missed a fg that would've been a 10 pt lead. 3 dropped tds.
Hyde fumbles in bad position.
Can't defend the screen. And Watson with 2 ints. one in the end zone into double coverage.
