Berry will help but their CBs are just

They were a poor secondary last year before they got rid of Peters. They will rack up a ton of wins but in the playoffs, that secondary is going to be a major vulnerability.

Peters had worn out his welcome with Andy Reid. Yes, he would have made it better but only if they had also gotten Fuller. The two of them with a healthy Berry would be a HUGE improvement.

I agree with Phoenix. If they make it to the playoffs, their defense will be exposed. They might win a shootout in the first round but won't go any deeper than that.

Peters was stupid to not get along with coach, but everyone knew that was the issue

possibly but Mahomes quick release, arm strength and accuracy is miles above anything Kap had.

Everyone is expecting Chiefs to blowout our defense . Which means they are gonna be pretty mediocre. Things hardly ever go as expected in the nfl. (Unless you're playing our 2016 squad)

Release definitely, but not arm strength. Problems with CK was touch, not strength. As for accuracy, touch is a huge part of accuracy. The trick, as Joe Montana learned from BW, is to have the ball arrive so the receiver had the best prospect of catching the ball. Not too fast, not too horizontal...yada, yada...

The key will be the Niners' offense sustaining drives and keeping the ball out of their hands. That's their best shot in this one.

Closing the pocket on Mahomes will be a key. Try to knock him off balance. Could be a great game for JG unless the Chief's DL kills him.

49ers are 25th in passing defense but the Chief's are last...and have two sacks in two games, so...

Sooner or later defenses will have some tape on Mahomes and will figure the best way to limit him. The 49ers strength is offense not defense. The best way they can win is let Jimmy GQ do his thing. They need to score. Probably more than 30. Shanahan does a great job scheming receivers open. Seemed like there were open receivers a lot in the Vikings game. Jimmy G was off target too much. If Jimmy G is on with his accuracy they can put up points against the KC defense.
