Mahomes is good and having those two present and healthy, he has the best WR group since Reid came to KC.

I mean, he was averaging 2 catches and 35 yards a game. Wouldnt say thats coming into his own. Thats replacement level play. He wasnt trending up or down either. This year he has 3 catches for 32 yards total in three games.

15.9 YPC on 16 targets, compared to Hill's 15.8 on 105 targets. When both of these guys are on the field together it's a headache for the defense. Conley 4.35 and Hill 4.not much!

Yeah. Their QB was killing it last year.

My dude
1) Hill is a beast
2) Kelce is a top TE
3) Hunt is above average
4) Watkins is good
5) Conley is a good 3rd WR

Mahomes took over this year with a high powered offense/ experienced weapons already in place, plus the addition of Watkins.
The 9er D have to put pressure on Mahomes and shut down Hill and Kelce first before anything on Sunday.
KC defense is garbage (and will continue to be garbage because of HC Reid's mind set and if Mahomes sustain winning he will get the $$$ from KC), so most games will be shoot outs anyways similar to GB and NO...

Mahomes only started 2 games, yes he showed his talents and with Reid's help as HC, but he has to sustain winning for a couple of seasons and in the play-offs to prove it and even then his type of QB (gun slingers, MVP stats if he can even get there) is only good for 1 (winning) Super Bowl... ex: Rodgers, Brees...

Mahomes is being extremely overrated at the moment, good opportunity for the 49ers to bring the young QB back down to earth.

Two great games and hes MVP of league, F***ing insanity.

Tho this week I hope he sucks, I really think he's the real deal, he's perfect for the chiefs offense, exactly the opposite from Smith, he can push the ball down field, honestly reminds me of Donovan Mcnabb and it's fitting Andy Reid is his coach..

I dont need to tell you how much more impressive a similar YPC with 105 targets is than 16. Look, I like Conley. He is a decent #3 or #4 WR. But he doesnt need to be called more than he is. He wasnt coming into his own before injury nor has he ever performed better than a replacement level WR.

No need to gas this guy up when he certainly wasnt last year.

This. Conley and Watkins are definitely not the reason for this team throwing less checkdowns and more to the WRs.

Conley is a #3, and while that doesn't say a whole lot by itself, the fact he is on the field instead of the very forgettable names that were out there last year is an improvement.

Watkins, OTOH, through 2 games is ranked in a tight bunch with OBJ, Antonio Brown, Allen Robinson and Jarvis Landry. That is a huge improvement over D'Anthony Thomas and Demarcus Robinson.

Mahomes has put up some great numbers but it isn't like he has turned a stale offense into something magical. Compare these first two Chiefs games, averaging 40 PPG against the Chargers and Steelers, neither of which appear to be Super Bowl bound, to the 2017 Chiefs who put up 42 against the Patriots (Super Bowl team) and 27 against the Eagles (Super Bowl winner) in the second game. What you see is that when you consider the quality of competition through these first two games, this year's Chiefs team is just about where last year's team was at the same point. Time to pump the brakes a bit about Mahomes for MVP.
I think the title of this thread should be "Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs". If their key receivers from the offense are injured, I don't think Pat Mahomes can carry the team to a win. So I don't think the QB should be in that title. Media is going crazy because of his week 1 and 2 performances. I doubt he'll do that every game.

You sound a little salty not giving Mahomes credit.

You don't think he will throw 80TDs this year ?
