The Chiefs won't make another Super Bowl for the rest of the decade. Mark it!

They got their 3 SBs, but they'll be the target for every AFC team next year. Lamar, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers, Tua, Watson, Stroud, etc

They were actually fortunate this year to play a hobbled Miami and Buffalo team in the playoffs. And Baltimore just s**t the bed. Lucky for them they got the biggest choking QB in the playoffs followed by the biggest choking coach in the playoffs back to back.

Next year won't be that easy….

Andy Reid is the best coach in the league.

Nobody has ever 3peated..........and that includes actually playing in the Super Bowl (we've never seen someone actually play in the Super Bowl on a 3peat mission).

Niners '90 were the closest losing on a last second FG to the Giants, followed by Cowboys '94 who got within 10 points.

Nobody got closer as far as championship game that I know of:

'76 Steelers got beaten 24-7 by oakland in the conference game, and missed the playoffs in '80
'99 Broncos missed the playoffs
'05 Patriots lost in the divisional round
'16-'18 Patriots went to three Super Bowls in a row but lost the middle one to the Eagles

Good to know the 49ers were involved in nearly getting one and stopping another.

Not sure we beat Buffalo a week after the Giants with Steve Young. Cowboys most certainly would've beaten San Diego in that Super Bowl.

There's a reason it's never happened before. People can act like KC will get back, but I can't see it either.

Can't keep performing miracles. Even the Patriots couldn't go 19-0....

Agree. I've always contended the Buckner trade wasnt bad. They kept some guys and had capital to move up and take Aiyuk. But the premium pick was blown. If they took Wirfs, it's one of the great trades.

Agreed, but it's a lot easier to make decisions and look right when Mahomes is your qb. Reid knows the luxury he has and is all over it.

The 9ers loss this Super Bowl the moment they announce Bill Vinovich would be the ref. How convenient!!! Then came the set up that the 49ers would get that crap practice field. Next the Taylor Swift narrative and all that she's done for the NFL.

This Super Bowl was set up for the Chiefs to win. No matter what the 9ers did it was never going to be enough.
