What team will Foles be on THIS year?

The moment he falters the eagles fans will tear him apart.

The conservative coaching move is the keep foles and trade wentz. Nobody will question the decision if foles sucks it up the next 5 years because he's already cemented himself a legend.

If wentz can't bring them a superbowl next year they will turn on him and the coach and run them both out of town.

Nobody questions if you role with foles who is a former pro bowler and superbowl mvp and it doesn't work out. Wentz is a nobody. If you trade foles and it doesn't pan out it instantly gets questioned. Even if wentz is a good qb it's now superbowl or bust.
Wenz might not be playing until after the start of the regular season. Wasn't just an ACL he tore but also his LCL late in Dec. It's going to take a year before he's back to 100% baring any setbacks.

"After we went in there and everything, it was actually the ACL and the LCL," Wentz said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I'm still feeling confident with it. The rehab -- it's the same type of progression and everything. It's gone great so far."

The interview on Friday was Wentz's first time meeting with the media since he originally suffered the injury back on December 10. As if the LCL tear wasn't bad enough, NFL.com reported in mid-December that Wentz also had a partially torn IT [iliotibial] band, and that he had to have some meniscus damage cleaned up during his Dec. 13 surgery. Keep him in philly. Wentz is a bit injury prone from what I've seen and read. Season ending injuries in hs, college and now the pros iirc. Foles might not net them a #1 but he could be worth much more than that- to them- if things go awry with wentz.

At the very least make sure Wentz is a 100% before shipping him out some time next season.
Think Philly needs to show class if he wants to go elsewhere to be the guy and Philly gets a good pick.

It would be unfair IMO to have him play 4-8 games then Wentz automatically gets his job back.
man what a story. I hope he gets paid.

Was the starter, played poorly, traded , played poorly for two teams, contemplated retirement , rose up,

came back to as a backup. When he started for Wentz as the backup now starter for philly was on edge ready to burn foles jerseys , came back to win it all.

Go get paid foles .

I just hope he doesn't end up in AZ. That would instantly make 4 playoff contenders in the NFC west
He should be on ours. That way we'll have 2 SB MVP's already and aiming for a 3rd this year. That alone can be bragging rights all of 2019, we could put a billboard up in Seattle with the slogan, "Got SB MVP's?".

Hope he gets paid too. But if he gets traded then he won't make s**t.

It's around a 5 year 27.5 mil contract he signed. But if he's on the eagles after the 2018 season then it becomes like a 2 year 11 mil contract and voids out.

It's huge value for a team to trade for him and only pay a little over 5 mil a year for 4 years for a super bowl mvp. That's why I think he gets traded for a first.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/orthopedic-surgeon-carson-wentz-might-be-brace-dependent-for-rest-of-his-career/

"One orthopedic surgeon, however, thinks an Opening Day return is "very, very optimistic" and that Philadelphia has reason to worry about its quarterback's knee.
Joining Angelo Cataldi on SportsRadio 94 WIP this week, Dr. John Kelly, a professor of clinical orthopaedic surgery at Penn Medicine (University of Pennsylvania), said Wentz's injury is actually "an RG3 equivalent" -- a reference to the battered former Washington Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin III, whose career lasted all of five seasons.
"This is an ACL, plus at least two ligaments," Kelly said. "This is an RG3 equivalent, folks. This is worrisome ... That's a long rehab. And if it were my patient, it would take nine, 10, 11 months."

I don't know how you trade the guy who won you the first super bowl, against tom brady, and was the mvp. it was wentz's misfortune he got hurt, but it sure looked like foles"s team. its an embarrassment of riches. I think wentz will be the one to go.

What you said makes sense but it will never happened. The Eagles invested heavily on Wentz and they're going to ride or die with him. Again, i agree with you but it aint gonna happen...

In January Nick Foles? Yes. But not regular season Nick Foles.
I think Eagles will keep him but if not then i can see the Bills giving up two firsts - they are desperate.

If Foles wants to start somewhere I say the eagles do the right thing and trade him for a fair price. The man won them the big game. He did his part, and now they should do their part and let him go if he wants to go. They are going with Wentz after all.

Definitely keeping the Big W.

A lot depends on how his recovery is progressing.

I could see them trading him "IF" they could get an experienced back-up.

I heard this AM on Good AM Football - Terry Bridgewater as an idea.

I would love for Foles to wind up with the Cards.
