What is really great is that Breida is the 4th highest paid RB on the team making a whopping $646,668 which is far less than 2 other guys who can't even play and He is the BEST RB on the team! Talk about value, He is a steal.

Breida hasn't proven he can be healthy enough to gain 1200 yards.

He rushed for 1,500 and 1,600 yards in college. Last year was the first time he's ever missed games due to injury. It's not like he has a history of injury. He just couldn't shake the ankle injury last year. He still was out there battling when he was hurt.

You don't trade your most talented RB with McKinnon on IRL and Coleman with a high ankle sprain. Yes, Mostert's got a lot of speed & talent, but he's unproven as a full-time RB. So is Wilson. Breida's not going anywhere.

UNPROVEN.... just how do you think Breida became a starter??

Kyle took a chance on him..

plus, the trade will make sense because Breida and Pettis will give us AJ GREEN !!!

LMAO ??

I can assume that you think we're better off keeping Breida??

and keep Mostert as a backup??

Why would you want to trade from a depleted position? It makes no sense.

This is 9moon were talking about, nothing he says makes much sense IMO.

No way we trade Breida or Mostert or Coleman.

One of my favorite free UDFA finds in last year's offseason. I think he adds some power to this speed offense. I wish McKinon well, and I think this is a signal that he might be done.

UHMMMM, from what I remember, I was the one who kept telling YOU that your boy Arik is WEAK... your all time favorite GM (Baalke) as I've told you many times also was not worth it...

who's making sense now????

Breida and Sun Screen would be very attractive... IF we can convince Cincy to give us AJ Green and a late pick for this guys, then it's worth it...

Mostert will be better RB than Breida, trust me...
I am happy that Wilson got promoted to the roster. I am not surprised by it at all.

We need 3 running backs because guys get hurt and need to be rotated to stop small injuries getting big.

Gone are the Tomsula days when a RB got driven into the ground and we pick up guys from car yards and the street. I don't buy all the other speculation.
I know the 49ers wanted to wait until the last minute to promote Wilson, so Smith had a better chance of clearing waivers, but If the Bengals signed Wilson this week (which wasn't unrealistic with mixon's injury), we would have been stuck with 2RBs for the game with no time to get a FA acclimated to the playbook or the game plan. Not to mention, Mostert wouldn't be able to play special teams. Plus, they would have had inside info on everything we were planning.

He could get a lot more if he has a break out. He was quite impressive in the last game of the pre-season. Last week our run game was not impressive and this kid is hungry and expendable.
I think we over-value Wilson and under value Breida. Breida is the guy that could've had 1000 + yards if he were healthy last year. Wilson is the guy that looked nice, in the pre-season, and was available for anyone to sign, yet no one signed him. I like Wilson as the guy behind ALL the other guys. I do not understand expecting more. Do I think he could have a good game in the regular season? Sure. Do I expect him to have 5 good games of 10 or more carries? Nope. I'd welcome being surprised though.

Good point.

He was so impressive in his last preseason game that he celebrated by fumbling his last carry. He has played in 6 games with 3 fumbles, 2 of them lost. Last game Mostert was very impressive.
