What do we do with him when Coleman comes back? Roster spots will be at a premium

Mostert is proving he's the best RB on the squad. He runs right through tackles and almost never goes down on the first hit. Plua, his 4.28 speed allows him to turn the corner where others can't...

i know it needs to be answered but for now. i will just say. a great great problem to have. we just need to stop trying to draft running backs! it never works. what a great little stable of backs. i guess i will give tampas defense more credit for slowing us down as i was worried about the run game before yesterday. all good. except for joes injury. best team win in over two years and that just put a dark cloud over it

I like Mostert, ALOT but I'm not sure how he's proven that he's better than Breida.

He had a really nice block on a linebacker on the TD Pass to Deebo.
On the field he doesn't look as big as his listed supposed weight.

Was 210 at the combine and just read in another thread he put on even more pounds.

It's a trip.

Coleman will undoubtely be in front of Raheem. He will split touches evenly with Matt Brieda. Shanahan already wants to have him back as quick possible

He's the best all around back on the team. Did you see who made the first tackle downfield on special teams? He's a Pro-Bowl quality gunner. As a runner, he has averaged over 6.6 yards per carry ever since they've let him touch the ball. He's a downhill runner and almost never goes down with the first hit. He's an excellent pass protector and blocker. Breida is a great little runner but gets dinged up often and doesn't have Mostert' durability. The Mostert/Breida combination would be the best, in my opinion. I has the potential to be Craig/Tyler II.

I'd like to see Coleman traded for a good offensive tackle. Bring Austin Walter up to the practice squad. If you're wondering why I feel comfortable enough to trade Coleman, the PFF rating is very revealing. This was from game 2. Kittle is the only 49er with a higher rating. People are going to have to come to the realization that RAHEEM MOSTERT is no longer our excellent backup special teams guy -- he's a Pro Bowl quality back in his own right and is giving signs of being unstoppable. I just want to sit back and enjoy it.

Raheem Mostert: 85.6, Season Grade: 83.2
Grading Summary:

90 – 99: Elite (All-Pro Quality)
80 – 89.9: High Quality (Pro Bowl Quality)
70 – 79.9: Above Average (Good)
60 – 69.9: Average (League Average)
50 – 59.9: Below Average (Replacement Level)
49.9 and below: Poor (Bench riders)

100% percent disagree, the ONLY thing that will Keep Jimmy G upright and help out Justin Skule is the Niners ability to run the football. If DE's can be prevented from teeing off as pass rushers, it will help the LT.

I would say Keep 4 RB's as they also play special teams. A WR could be cut when Taylor and Hurd return from Injury. Sad to say but Bourne could be odd Wr out

I wouldn't mind ShanaLynch getting an UDFA RB next year to replace Mosterts special teams gunner position while Mostert is moved out of special teams to the starting RB1A position.

I agree, between Brieda and Mostert, I'd move Mostert ahead of Breida due to his size and tackle breaking ability. I think both have 4.4 speed - so that area is (in a sense) a tie.
