Wilson looks the best he has in his career. 5.1 ypg; 14th in the NFL in rushing yards right now.

yes the niners have CMC and elijah mitchell is coming back. but this team needs ALL the insurance it can get. And even with them, why wouldn't they love to have a third back, the caliber of Wilson, mixing it in, while TDP and Mason develop.

Maybe they know something about TDP and Mason we don't. But if they did, why haven't they been playing?

CMC move was to win now. Trading Jeff Wilson is a move for next year, that doesn't support the philosophy of them laying it all on the line to win this year.

ignoring that the team still has Tevin Coleman?

Kinda forget because he's been signed, cut, and signed to practice squad again.

He looked good in limited action but he, too, is less reliable than JWJ. Just think that for a fifth, he was worth more to them this year than not.
5th round is where we land Pro Bowl players. The more 5th rounders the better.

Don't see how this helps us. It only makes sense if we feel the two rookies can help us out more than him. I don't see any evidence of that so far.

Why would you expect evidence that rookies are ready to help more? They are rookies. It's all potential. That kind of thinking would have one leaning on Earl Mitchell over DJ Jones in 2017 because of lack of evidence. The talent is there and its 3rd and 4th running back positions. I think we will be okay:).

I'm not talking about the distant future. i'm talking about the next eight games and playoffs. If we don't make it, bosa no stay.

if bosa no stay, kyle and lynch no stay

ridiculous. the Niners control Bosa thru 2025.

If we don't extend NICK BOSA this offseason, our front office has no credibility. We're not playing Bosa on a fifth year option. No way. Like, he has something else to prove.

even if this team misses the playoffs, Bosa will get extended in the offseason. theyre not going to let him walk.

What is Nick Bosa requests an unprecedented 80-100% guaranteed contract? Don't be shocked if he plays on a one year franchise tag.

You can't keep 5 RB's on your 53 man roster(6 counting Juice). So if they didn't trade Wilson, There would be no developing both TDP and Mason because one of them would be gone(Mason). Neither guy was making it to the PQ.

Yeah very true, I guess it was just a tough position/good problem to have. You can't lose TDP and Mason for the future; but for the here and now Wilson is more valuable.

Hopefully the young guys can mix it in a bit and Eli can shake this bug...gonna need to spell CMC; excited to see him and Mitchell.

JWJ is going to turn into Adrian Peterson now that he's with Mcdaniel again, the real genius behind Kyle!!!!!!!!

Sour Milk or rotten Pickle Juice? Wilson is decent but he's a 72 at best, don't forget the fumble in ATL and drop TD pass vs KC. Sucks he won't be a backup RB to be rely on going forward but someone had to go, and KS must see some potential in Jordan Mason going forward not wanting to put him on the PS with hopefully a healthy Mitchell returning after bye week.

Not a fan of losing JW but a fifth is a solid pick up and we have too many backs on the roster even without him. CMC, Deebo, Mitchell, TDP, Coleman, Juice…
Does CMC take 22 now?

Not until next season if he so chooses.

Except against us.

Still rather have wilson on our roster for this season. But if he requested the move, Im ok with moving him because he has done us many solids.

Keep grinding mr jeff wilson.

Sad day man.

I hate losing the good ones. That guy loved being a Niner.
Wish him the best

I understand why he wanted to be moved he will be the 3rd RB behind CMC and Mitchell

I guess he'll be #2 behind Mostert in Miami. By the way, Raheem isn't getting the kind of yards in Miami that he did in SF. His longest run is 32 yards I think and he only has one TD this year. Either he's lost a step or Miami isn't opening up those holes like he had in SF.
