He's got some Cornelius Carradine to his game . . . More athletic and higher ceiling though.

In the NC State game he didn't register any sacks, but he had 5 tackles and 2.5 TFL and helped hold NFL QB prospect Ryan Finley to 156 yards passing and 2 INTs. NC State tried to employ a quick passing game to counteract the pass rush, and Clemson won 41-7. Clemson was crushing people by 40 in a lot of games once Trevor Lawrence took over, so he and the other Clemson starters generally played sparingly in the second half.
I only watched the Clemson/NC State game but he looked sooooo invisible to me. Has he at least been good/a force in other games this season? We really can't afford to pick another Solomon Thomas, #1 overall or not, and my gut tells me this would be the same kind of pick.

The one thing that makes me worry about Ferrell is he seems to win a lot with his jump off the snap. That comes with it's problems.
Like his size but I wish he had the bend that even a guy like Bosa posses. Then again I think if he had better bend to go with his jump he'd be up there with Bosa.
The question becomes can he improve on that front or is he what it is? After whiffing on Thomas as an edge player I think that's probably my biggest concern with Ferrell.

Got some good games coming up against good competition.

I feel like this is going to be the pick and he's gonna be like Andre Carter. Good but nothing special

I feel like his stock will drop a little and he is gonna end up going somewhere in the teens.

An Andre Carter type of dude would have helped quite a bit this year and would probably be our 2nd best defender right at this moment. It would be nice to have that type of dude if we already had 3-4 more studs ahead of him. Otherwise pass.........

Can't see him getting past the Lions...seems like a MP type of player. He's got all the tools you want in a edge rusher, but so did all of the Clemson edge rushers
Just not sure how I feel about him.

He reminds me of Derek Barnett, seems like he'll be a solid player, just doesn't scream major contributor
