I just feel he's going to be one of those guys that ranks up there in pressures, but never translates them to sacks and production. That's exactly who Armstead is and it's so frustrating. Similarly, that's why I was so down on Davenport last year. I really want to see more finishers out there.... guys that attack the ball and cause turnovers. That's what we need.

My biggest issue is pad level, dude pops up like a piece of toast.

We could take two pass rushers in the first two rounds. Might be able to grab the other Clemson DE Austin Bryant who is a man child himself with the second rounder. He might be a first rounder, too, though with a strong combine.

I like Austin Bryant, but I think the niners will sign a vet Edge and draft an edge with their 1st, give me Mathews or Ray and Allen or Polite assuming Bosa is gone..

Farrell is too stiff - I'd take him in the 2nd round only.
A FA solution to DT is Malcolm Brown (Pats)...he's not in the Aaron Donald mode (who is, really), but he's a solid run-stuffer. Teams continued to exploit the middle of the DL in 2018...Buck needs someone more reliable alongside him & MB is that. I get DJ Jones is potentially the guy, but I didn't see much improvement in the middle after he took over. Quinnen Williams at times looks like a monster...other times he can virtually disappear. If re-signed, Armstead will play one of the DE positions. For some reason, I don't see Lynch taking Bosa, even if he's available. Could be wrong, but I see Josh Allen as the 1st pick. He's someone who can line up virtually anywhere, but also fill one of the OLB positions. The other DE position could be up for grabs, or Lynch could draft someone like Zach Allen. BL is Saleh needs a considerably tougher DL if the defense is going to really improve.

I tend to disagree on a few of your points...I think we played considerably better once Earl Mitchell was sent to the bench. Of course DJ Jones, while I really like him, can be upgraded from, but I never really saw any concerns about Q William's disappearing. He won his matchups at an unbelievably high rate, at least that was my impression during live viewings. Our DL is plenty tough, we just need to get the QB, and that requires more edge presence.

I just don't see how this dude will help our pass rush?

Hes going to be one of those players that will fall in the draft because he is being over analyzed. He seems like he gets the job done. Not flashy but very damn solid. I heard someone that the comp is terrell suggs.
If this plays out like this, i would be fkn thrilled. He can only hope that Haskins lights it up at the combine and workouts.

Like when?
Saw a comp earlier to Clark. And that's damn near perfect.

Yoo, I brought up Frank Clark yesterday when talking about how Ferrell fits at Leo lol.

Tell me this doesn't look like Clelin Ferrell.

Both dudes aren't the bendiest guys and look like they're about to tip over as they're turning the corner lol. But that damn snap anticipation and get off, the hands, length, power, plan etc.

What does the draft calculator say we'd get in return for dropping from #2 to #7?

Lol so true. Seems like something that can be tweaked with coaching and practice. True they'll never have elite bend, but they can still be very effective with that type of reaction to the snap and explosive first step.
